Sound Radix has announced Pi, a multi-channel phase interactions mixer plug-in for Windows and Mac.

Sound Radix Pi
Sound Radix’s Pi works to improve the summing of a DAW or a mixer.

Designed to enhance any mix, Pi dynamically rotates the phase of the individual mixer channels to achieve maximum phase correlation within the mix. Pi minimizes negative interaction and significantly improves the overall sound of the mix. Just drop Pi into the last insert slot of your DAW mixer channels and listen. Use any of the 64 groups to bind related instrument channels to enhance your mix even further.

Pi features

  • Groundbreaking, true multi-channel engine, dynamically optimizes phase relationships between mix channels for optimal sounding mix.
  • Three-mode track grouping for enhanced related instruments and multi-mic setup phase correlation optimization.
  • Full Range and Low Frequency global optimization modes.
  • Four mode multi-channel phase correlation display, enables a unique view of the phase relationships within the mix.
  • Internal, inter-channel sample accurate routing, no complicated side-chaining required.

Pi for Windows and Mac (32/64bit, VST/AU/RTAS) is available to purchase for an introductory price of $180 USD through December 31st, 2012 (regular $240). A special introductory offer of $150 USD is available for Sound Radix’s existing customers in their user area.

Sound Radix SurferEQ

Sound Radix has updated its SurferEQ pitch tracking equalizer plug-in for Windows and Mac to version 1.0.2.

SurferEQ is an innovative, pitch tracking equalizer plug-in. It is capable of locking onto a vocal or an instrument pitch and adjust the EQ frequency to its fundamental pitch, or any of its harmonics thus “surfing” on the sound waves.

As it is always relevant to the sound source, SurferEQ is a tool like no other. It enables tone shaping in ways that were impossible to achieve previously by other tools.

Changes in SurferEQ V1.0.2

  • Optimized, significantly more efficient and smoother graphics engine.
  • Better compatibly and performance with older PC machines and integrated GPU’s.
  • Mac OS 10.5.x (Leopard) compatibility.
  • Mac PPC compatibility.
  • Fixed an issue of Mac 64-bit Audio Unit and VST not showing up as such.
  • Extended time intervals between dropouts in the trial version for better demo experience.
  • *New* Factory Presets.
  • *New* 64-bit PC VST.

SurferEQ is available at an introductory price of $129 USD until January 1, 2012 (regular $179 USD). Users of Auto-Align can purchase SurferEQ for an introductory price of $99 USD.

Sound Radix SurferEQ

Sound Radix has announced the release of SurferEQ, a pitch tracking equalizer plug-in for Windows and Mac.

SurferEQ is an innovative, pitch tracking equalizer plug-in. It is capable of locking onto a vocal or an instrument pitch and adjust the EQ frequency to its fundamental pitch, or any of its harmonics thus “surfing” on the sound waves.

We’ve designed the EQ filters with new and original algorithms, and made every effort to preserve the energy and size of the original recording.

In addition to the HP, LP, shelf and bell shaped filters, we’ve developed a unique harmonic filter, which makes it possible to control the complete harmonic series with only a single band of EQ.

As it is always relevant to the sound source, SurferEQ is a tool like no other. It enables tone shaping in ways that were impossible to achieve previously by other tools.

SurferEQ for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS) is available at the introductory price of $129 USD. Users of Auto-Align can purchase SurferEQ for an introductory price of $99 USD.

Sound Radix has also released an update to Auto-Align, an automatic phase & time alignment plug-in.

Sound Radix is happy to announce the immediate availability of our much anticipated, Auto-Align RTAS and VST plug-in for Windows. In addition to the Audio Units and RTAS versions, this release also brings Auto-Align VST compatibility for Mac OS X, as well as graphics bug fixes.

Sound Radix Auto-Align

Sound Radix has released version 1.2.1 of Auto-Align, an automatic microphone / DI time alignment plug-in for Mac.

Auto-Align will “listen” to your multi-mic recording and will automatically measure and compensate for the delay between the microphones, sample accurately – significantly reducing the Comb filter effect and dramatically improving the resulting sound.

Changes in Auto-Align v1.2.1

  • RTAS and ProTools 9 compatibility
  • New, easy-to-use, host-independent bus routing system, eliminates the need of using side-chain.
  • True stereo alignment in Pro Tools and other hosts that support mono side-chain only.
  • Improved, automatic management of stereo-to-mono and mono-to-stereo alignment.
  • Improved detection algorithm.
  • Improved graphics accuracy.
  • Fixed a bug that made Auto-Align produce erroneous results in Pro Tools HD systems.

Auto-Align is available to purchase as an effect plug-in for Mac (AU/RTAS) for $149 USD.

Sound Radix Auto-Align, Automatic Time Alignment goes RTAS

Sound Radix Auto-Align

Sound Radix has released a Mac OS X RTAS version of Auto-Align, an automatic time alignment plug-in.

Auto-Align will “listen” to your multi-mic recording and will automatically measure and compensate for the delay between the microphones, or between a DI box and a microphone – sample accurate, significantly reducing the Comb filter effect.

When distant microphones are used and a delay is desired to enhance the sense of space, Auto-Align can time-place the microphones to better match the close-mic’ed source and therefore minimize the Comb filter effect.

Auto-Align can also automatically detect a reversed polarity mic and compensate for it.

Auto-Align for Mac (AU/RTAS) is available to purchase for $149 USD.

  • Spectral phase correlation display, shows the phase difference between the input and side-chain.
  • Delays match points displays, shows all the spots Auto-Align found to have better frequency matching between the input and the side-chain.
  • Next / Previous buttons, allow you to keep a delay but still achieve a better phase match between the input and side-chain.
  • Delay display, shows the delay found and compensation (values: samples/milliseconds/centimeters/inches).
  • Automatic detection, straight delay or you delay + polarity correction.
  • Polarity reverse.
  • On/Off button to switch between corrected and not corrected time smoothly.

Auto-Align is available to purchase as an Audio Unit effect plug-in for Mac (AU/RTAS coming soon), priced at $149 USD. A trial version can be downloaded from the product page. The only limitation is that it cannot save and load parameters.
