Soundiron Iron Pack #9

Soundiron has announced the release of Iron Pack #9, a micro instrument library for Native Instruments Kontakt, developed on premium analog hardware, including an Elektron Analog Four and various filters and effects.

The circuitry is modern, but each of the 12 custom patches designed by our own Spencer Nunamaker was inspired by classic vintage sounds, with the full body and warm you expect from analog synthesis!

Each patch in Iron Pack #9 was created by meticulously constructing unique signal path and modulator routings, often with multiple LFOs effecting each other both parallel and in series. Once the path was designed, Spencer brought them to life, capturing their organic flavors in real-time, using a variety of velocity, joystick and envelope stage mapping to modulate different parameters, LFOs to modulate other LFOs, combined with after-touch LFO depth/speed modulation and other wild-card tweaks to generate awesome chain-reactions. The result is a warm, rich set of great synth patches, each with a host of sound-shaping parameters that let you further manipulate them into your own new custom sounds with the help of our GUI. The sounds a crisp, high-fidelity and modern, but there’s a strong element of retro-fatness in each of them.

You’ll find regular unlocked nki presets for the full version of Kontakt 4 or 5, as well as open source SFZ presets, for non Kontakt users. The SFZ presets can be used in the free Sforzando Player, the free Alchemy Player by Camel Audio and many other compatible engines.

IronPack #9 is on sale for $3.99 USD until October 21st, 2014. Requires the full version of Kontakt 4.2.4 or later or an SFZ 2.0 compatible engine.

Soundiron releases Voice Of Gaia: Francesca Genco

Soundiron has announced the release of Voice Of Gaia: Francesca Genco, a brand new exotic solo alto vocal library featuring the esteemed talents of Francesca Lilac Genco.

Soundiron Voice Of Gaia: Francesca Genco

Her signature dark, evocative sound can been heard in numerous film, TV and game soundtracks, including Ryan Amon’s Elysium soundtrack. She specializes in dramatic fusions of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Asian styles, creating her own language as she sings. This comprehensive library includes a complete selection of chromatic legato, sustain and staccato articulation types and powerful melodic phrases with complete sound-shaping and sequencing options in our full-featured GUI.

We recorded her in a studio environment, using two Neumann microphone types and Sound Devices preamps for excellent detail, dynamic range and clarity. We started with true legato for Ah and Oo vowels, plus a softly hummed Mm variant. There are also a variety of classic vowel sustains and staccatos (8x round-robin) playable over 2+ octaves. The huge collection of live melodic phrases includes Bombastic, Melodic, Bright, Atonal/Discordant and Whispering categories, all selectable by natural root key and tempo ranges. Our phrase sequencing system also includes auto-legato, step-sequencing, TM Pro tempo-synching and time-stretching, pitch transposition, attack/release and offset shaping and more.

Each of the two mic patterns (smooth omni & crisp cardiod) can be independently loaded, mixed and panned. You’ll also find our comprehensive FX Rack panel, with multi-effects, compression, EQ, amp/speaker simulation and convolution reverb, with dozens of custom recorded rooms, halls, cathedrals and otherworldly fx impulses, all instantly available through the control interface.

Voice Of Gaia – Francesca includes 39 nki presets, 8327 unlocked wav samples and 6.7 GB. It is available for purchase for the introductory price of $99 USD until October 13th, 2014 (MSRP $139). Requires the full version of Kontakt 5.1 or later.

Soundiron releases Voice Of Gaia: Bryn for Kontakt

Soundiron has launched Voice Of Gaia: Bryn, an eclectic male tenor solo vocal library featuring the talents of Bryan Lane (aka “Bryn”).

Soundiron Voice Of Gaia: Bryn

While trained in operatic vocal techniques, his own personal style draws from a much broader and older range of vocal styles, inspired in equal parts by Middle-Eastern and American Spiritual and Gospel music. He delivers a dark, passionate intensity to his performances that will pull you in. We recorded Bryn in a close studio environment, using Neumann microphones and pristine Sound Devices preamps for outstanding detail, clarity and fidelity.

Voice Of Gaia – BrynWe captured true legato sustains for Ah, Oo, Humming (“mmm”) and Whistling. We also recorded sustains and staccatos for Ah, Oh, Oo, Uh, Humming and Whistling. Most of this chromatic content spans a natural key range from D2-D4 (extended from C2-G4). You’ll also find a wide collection of melodic phrases in classic Vowel, Hummed, Arabian, Southern Gospel styles. Each of the main categories includes content for each key. In addition, there’s a general selection of whistling phrases and Arabian-styled chants. Each phrase preset offers pitch transposition, tempo-synching, step-sequencing, song switching and more.

We’ve also included our comprehensive FX Rack panel, with multi-effects, compression, EQ, amp/speaker simulation and convolution reverb, featuring dozens of our most popular custom recorded rooms, halls, cathedrals and otherworldly fx impulses, all easily available through the control interface.

Soundiron Dhol Drum

Soundiron has announced the release of version 2.0 of Dhol Drum, a dhol Indian percussion library for Native Instruments Kontakt.
