Sounds And Effects releases ODD Reason ReFill

Sounds And Effects has announced the release of the its ODD Reason ReFill library for Propellerhead Reason.

Sounds And Effects ODD Reason ReFill

The ODD Reason ReFill from Sounds And Effects samples a vintage ARP Odyssey, but then takes a decidedly non vintage turn, using these samples as the basis for entirely new sounds using Reason’s powerful synth engine for a more modern and decidedly non vintage sound. Pitch dives and rises, bass wobbles, zaps, warbles, bleeps, trills, sub basses and buzzy squelchy leads.

ODD makes extensive use of the Combinator to take the NNXT presets in an entirely different direction. Many of the Combinator presets combine two NNXT presets with Reason’s powerful BV512 vocoder so that parameters like the important Vocoder Shift Control are ready accessible by the user. Other presets stick more closely to the ARP.

There are also three different default Combinator / Vocoder presets pre wired so that the user can easily choose from any of the 200 NNXT Presets, and simply plug them any into the Vocoders’ carrier and modulator inputs – potentially and rapidly creating hundreds of exciting new sounds.

In addition there are 175 REX loops.

The ReFill is available to purchase for the introductory price of $49.95 USD (regular $59.95 USD).

Sounds And Effects Netherworld II

Sounds And Effects has announced the release of Netherworld II, a sample library in Kontakt, ReFill and Wav formats.

Sounds And Effects Netherworld II with Fright Violin Effects starts where Netherworld left off, it adds frightening and eerie violin special effects, such as slides, pitch dives and rises, and tremolando, special bowings, screeches and squeals generated by playing on the wrong side of the bridge, and more.

There are also long drawn out soundscapes, as well as metallic scrapes, big deep booms, distorted bells, processed male and female screams, dark terror night forest ambience, strange night winds, humans being pursued by various monsters, or trotted off through an eerie jungle to a human sacrifice.

In addition to that there are more traditional monsters, like werewolves, zombies, vampires and bats, apparitions, ghouls and ghosts, haunted houses, and processed breaking glass.

The sound library costs $59.95 USD.

Sounds And Effects releases The Resonant Drop

Sounds And Effects The Resonant Drop

Sounds And Effects has announced the release of The Resonant Drop, a sound library for Native Instruments Kontakt 5.

Not all science fiction envisions either the future or the vast depths of uncharted space as just a vast playground of wondrous beauty, while back home exists a near perfect earth based utopian society where all problems have been solved and all humanity now lives in harmony.

Instead, some sci-fi future visions of the future are darker, bleaker, and these visions of deep space likewise show that not all exploration might be just fun and games – a future might perhaps be more like that of Prometheus, Terminator, or Blade Runner, than of Star Trek- to use a cinematic metaphor. While The Resonant Drop does contain some pretty and shimmering deep space ambiences, it is mostly intended for that more disconcerting, cyberpunk, perhaps even downright scary future-vision.

It contains over one gigabyte of pristine 24 bit samples.

The sound library is available to purchase for $59.95 USD.

Sounds And Effects intros Rude Synths ReFill

Sounds And Effects Rude Synths

Sounds And Effects has announced the release of Rude Synths, a Reason ReFill for modern electronic and dance music styles.

Rude Synths is based on pristine 24 bit samples from vintage analog sources – including Mini Moog, Moog Opus 3, ARP 2600 mini-modular synth, ARP Odyssey, Oberheim SEM Modules and more, which were then modified or processed to make then applicable to modern electronica, some of the patches make the sound even grittier than the originals.

Distortion, fuzz, thumping basses, bleeps and blurps, squelchy pitch rises and falls, filter effects, trills, “lasers,” portamento mono leads, gritty Opus 3 strings and organs & some really annoying fart-y noises. Individual drum or percussion samples were created painstakingly one sound at a time on an ARP 2600, then processed and messed with more in Reason.

Rude Synths features

  • 1,120 24 bit Samples.
  • 492M uncompressed / 325M compressed.
  • 330 NNXT Presets.

Sounds And Effects presents Ocarinas and Clay Flutes which includes native clay flutes and ocarinas of the Americas, played so that it’s easy to create sweet or sorrowful or strange and haunting melodic lines, breathy, wailing overblown screeches, weird nose blown flute tones, or odd microtonal trills and bird calls.
