The Unfinished releases Omnisphere Horizon II

The Unfinished Omnisphere Horizon II

The Unfinished has released Omnisphere Horizon II, a collection of 128 patches for Spectrasonics’ Omnisphere aimed at electronic/hybrid film scoring and atmospheric electronica.

In Horizon II you will find deep, punchy basslines; pulsing, thrilling synth sequences; evolving, driving percussion loops; lush, detailed pads and soundscapes; plus growling basses, emotional pianos and epic impacts.

This comprehensive and immersive collection is designed to be a ‘go to’ resource for soundtrack and electronica projects, whether you’re looking to add depth to an existing track or kickstart some brand new ideas. The scope of the 128 sounds in Horizon II is wide enough to write whole cues without using any other synths or libraries; and all the sounds have programmed with immediate, flexible and dynamic control dialled into the modwheel function.

Horizon II builds on the dark, dynamic underscore nature of Horizon, adding a number of ‘lighter’ more ethereal sounds in the spirit of composers/producers such as Cliff Martinez, Brian Eno and Thomas Newman. If you need fresh, new sounds for your film, game or media project, then Horizon II is an essential bit of kit.

The original Horizon is already being used in films, TV series and games soundtracks around the world.

Omnisphere Horizon II is available to purchase for £19.99 GBP. A free ‘taster pack’ of 15 sounds from the collection can be download for free.

Plughugger releases UltraVirus for Omnishpere

Plughugger UltraVirus for Omnisphere

Plughugger has announced the release of UltraVirus, a sound expansion of 150 new sounds for the Spectrasonics Omnisphere aimed for modern dance music.

In the second installation of the Sound Expansion series for Omnisphere, Plughugger turn their focus to the mighty german synthesizer the Virus.

The Virus is quite possibly the most successful synthesizer in modern time. It was first released in 1997 and although there have been hardware updates since, they all build upon the same black-red synthesizer in 1997.

With Omnisphere you get a nice selection of 29 waveforms sampled from the Virus Indigo. The Indigo is the compact keyboard version of the of the Virus B, which many people regard as the best sounding Virus ever.

Thanks to the excellent sound design tools in Omnisphere Plughugger turned the waveforms of the Virus into something new entirely, and the final result was 100 new arpeggios, basses, plucks and pads designed to inspire modern dance music production.

As a bonus, there are 50 additional presets based on the excellent virtual analog oscillators in Omnisphere.

The sound library costs 9.90 EUR.

Plughugger releases JP8K Legends – 150 dance sounds for Spectrasonics Omnisphere

Plughugger JP8K Legends

Plughugger has announced JP8K Legends, a sound expansion of 150 new sounds for the Spectrasonics Omnisphere aimed for modern dance music.

Few synthesizers had such an impact on modern dance music as the Roland JP-8000, which was the first synthesizer that introduced the Supersaw waveform.

The soundset is divided into two parts. The first part is a collection of 100 presets all using the JP-8000 oscillators in Omnisphere – which quickly turned into a real challenge, since Omnisphere only contain two different flavor of the JP-8000: one typical Supersaw and one darkish string-sound. Thanks to the flexible sound bending capabilities in Omnisphere we twisted and turned the oscillators until we had 100 arpeggios, basses, plucks and pads.

For the second part of the soundset – we took 50 of our favorite presets and changed the JP-8000 samples into the excellent virtual analog oscillators in Omnisphere.

The soundset is available to purchase for 9.90 EUR.
