Plughugger releases Lounge Electro for Omnisphere

Plughugger Lounge Electro

Plughugger has announced the release of Lounge Electro, a sound expansion of 150 new sounds for the Spectrasonics Omnisphere aimed for soft and mellow dance music.

Lounge Electro is a soundset aimed to dance producers who want to kick back and enjoy themselves on a fluffy cloud of mellowness: mellow plucks, leads, pad, and basses – and with a substantial focus especially on pads and leads.

100 of the sounds in this collection are based on some of our favorite waveforms in Omnisphere, taken from synthesizers such as the Roland JD800, Juno 60, JP8000, Access Virus, Oberheim OB8, Waldorf Q, Yamaha CS80 and Korg Monopoly.

As a bonus, there are 50 additional presets based on the excellent virtual analog oscillators in Omnisphere.

The soundset is available for the introductory price of 9.90 EUR (regular 14.90 EUR).

The Unfinished launches Omnisphere Lost & Found

Omnisphere Lost & Found

The Unfinished has announced the release of Omnisphere Lost & Found, a sound library for the Spectrasonics Omnisphere virtual instrument, in collaboration with Pendle Poucher of Sound Dust.

There are various themes for this collection, but all of them are seeded in a world of broken beauty. Lost & Found is aimed at the strange and wonderful atmospherics of neo-classical; the raw and dirty sonics of dark electronica; and the celestial and heart-thumping cinematics of modern scores. One minute it is a lo-fi, grainy and grungey slap around the face, the next it is a chaotic, soaring, widescreen embrace.

Whilst designing these patches Radio Lost & Found was playing the likes of Olafur Arnalds, Ben Frost, Rhian Sheehan, Nils Frahm, Trent Reznor/Atticus Ross, Steven Price, John Murphy, plus many others.

In this soundset you will find fragile pads, damaged pianos, dusty music boxes, grubby basses, electro-acoustic rhythms and dystopian soundscapes from the ether.

The soundset is available for purchase for £24.99 GBP.

ILIO EDM Eclipe: Lunar

ILIO has introduced EDM Eclipse: Lunar, a collection of 115 new patches for Spectrasonics Omnisphere from EDM producer/sound designer MIDIhead.

Following up on ILIO’s popular EDM – Bundle, EDM Eclipse: Lunar contains the latest in basses, leads, synths, pads, SFX, and a variety of tempo-locked sounds. EDM Eclipse: Lunar focuses on funky, gliding synths, soft and airy pads, glassy triangle and square waves, and some triplet-timed, tempo-synced sounds for current styles of House music and other genres.

While EDM Eclipse: Lunar focuses primarily on EDM styles, it also works well for pop, hip-hop, and even film and television music creations. Each sound has been crafted from Omnisphere’s synthesis engine and its core library of included sound sources.

EDM Eclipse: Lunar focuses on the use of the modulation wheel for maximum sound-altering control. Many patches are also optimized for use with The Orb, giving you even more real-time control on-stage and in the studio.

The sound library is available to purchase for $19.99 USD.

Plughugger releases Dr Bob – 150 dance sounds for Spectrasonics Trilian

Plughugger Dr Bob

Plughugger has announced the release of Dr Bob, a sound expansion of 100 new sounds for the Spectrasonics Trilian virtual bass instrument, aimed for modern dance music.

Dr Bob is modern take on the Moog legacy. From the original Minimoog and Taurus pedals to modern models such as the Little Phatty, Spectrasonics Trilian offers a wealth of sampled Moog models.

With this soundset we set out to push the sound of Moog in new directions. Not only is this an expansion with bass sounds, but also contains sounds seldom heard from a Moog: mellow synth plucks, lush pads, inspirational arpeggios and old-school stabs(!).

As a bonus, Dr Bob comes bundled with the additional soundset Fat Bastard.

Plughugger Fat Bastard

Fat Bastard is a collection of 50 presets based on the experimental and weird waveforms from the Metasonix Assblaster, and works well as a counterweight to the polished and well-behaved Moog waveforms.

A bit of a warning though. These sounds are a bit all over the place and are not as “sophisticated” as the sounds in the Dr Bob soundset.

The Dr Bob library is available to purchase for the introductory price of 9.90 EUR until February 16th, 2014 (regular 14.90 EUR).
