Overloud has updated its TH2 custom guitar effect suite plug-in for Windows and Mac to version 2.2.
TH2 delivers huge sound with flexible and intuitive control.
It is modeled after a wide variety of amplifiers, including the authorized modeling of Randall®, THD® and Brunetti® amplifiers, cabinets and stompboxes.
Changes in TH2 v2.2
- New Saint Amp effect emulates a classic amp+cab in a pedal.
- New switch to enable/disable automation for smart parameters.
- Improvement: the list in the sound browser now scrolls to show the current sound and variation.
- Improvement: better compatibility when RTAS and AAX plug-ins are both present.
- Fix: variations aren’t immediately marked as modified when opening the RTAS plug-in.
- Fix: no more lost clicks in the overview panel on Lion.
TH2 for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS/AAX/Standalone) is available for 199 EUR / $269 USD. The update is free for registered TH2 users.

Eventide has announced it has added new presets from Roger Water’s the Wall to TimeFactor delay unit, and an additional Freeze function is now available for the Space reverb effects stompbox.
In an unprecedented gift to TimeFactor users, Dave Kilminster, lead guitarist for Roger Water’s The Wall, and previously Dark Side of the Moon Live, has generously provided Eventide with the presets from Roger Water’s The Wall Live which are now included in new TimeFactor units and free for current users.
Also, the best-selling Space stompbox now includes the Freeze function which allows users to freeze the reverb and continue to play on top of infinitely sustained reverb. Also included in this comprehensive upgrade are additional new sounds and system enhancements for ModFactor, and PitchFactor as well.
All updates are free to existing users and will be included in new units shipped from Eventide.

DigiTech has announced the introduction of the iStomp pedal, an entirely new concept in guitar stompboxes that allows musicians to program the effect pedal with any sound they want – and change it at any time.
Offering almost limitless sonic possibilities, the iStomp connects to an iPod Touch®, iPhone®, or iPad® enabling musicians to load the effect of their choice into the iStomp.
“The iStomp ushers in a new era in effects pedal functionality,” said Rob Urry, vice president, HARMAN Professional Division and general manager of Signal Processing and Amplifier Business Units. “Until now, guitarists and musicians had to buy a separate pedal for each effect they wanted and a separate pedal for different tones of the same effect. Now, musicians can buy an iStomp and configure an effect exactly the way they want, and later, they can simply download a different tone of that same effect or download an entirely different effect if they want to try something new.”
The iStomp pedal connects to an Apple iOS device using the DigiTech Smart Cable that comes with the iStomp. Once connected, the DigiTech Stomp Shop provides two of the most popular requested effects, the DigiTech Total Recall Delay and the DigiTech Redline Overdrive with the initial purchase. The app also offers access to additional effects that iStomp owners can browse, try out, and purchase for their stompbox. The iStomp pedal has four knobs to control effects parameters, which change their function according to which effect is loaded.
iStomp features
- iStomp works like all other stompboxes on the market.
- Turn the iStomp into any pedal available in the Stomp Shop.
- Stomp Shop offers more than 20 different pedals to choose from.
- More pedals will be continually added to the Stomp Shop.
- User defined custom LED color for any pedal loaded to the iStomp.
- Die-cut removable custom labels for multiple pedals included.
- True stereo in and stereo out.
- Stomp Shop Apps saves all your pedals in the app.
- Compatible with all models of iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad running iOS 4 or later.
The DigiTech iStomp will begin shipping in January 2012 at $229.95 USD suggested retail. The iStomp pedal comes with an iOS authorization cable, power supply and the two initial downloads. Additional downloads are available for $4.99 USD to $19.99 USD each.
