Attack Magazine has announced the release of a free sample pack by Goldbaby.

We’re very excited to present an exclusive free sample pack from one of our favourite sample companies. Goldbaby is one of the world leaders when it comes to one-shots. The Tape 808, Tape 909 and SuperAnalog808 packs are some of the finest tributes to Roland’s classics you’ll find anywhere.

But there’s more to Goldbaby than just drum hits. The company also offers a broad range of loops, all produced to the same high standards as the individual hits.

In this bumper 60MB pack you’ll find a selection of nearly 200 one-shot WAVs and REX loops taken from the Tape Drum Machines and Urban Cookbook series. It’s a must-have for producers of absolutely any style of music.

The Drum Broker has released Tombongo Funk Drums Vol. 1, a collection of multi-track drum loops.

This is the very first full length release from Tombongo & Drummer Richard Preston and features 87 old school funk and soul drum loops released in multi-track format. These are original, royalty free drum breaks.

The multi-track packs offer separate .wav stems for the bass drum, snare drum and left and right overhead channels for each loop so that you can achieve independent control of the mix levels and greater control of EQ and effects.

Every care was taken to capture an authentic and truly awesome drum sound by using vintage drums and microphones, and recording directly onto 2″ tape at the wonderful Gizzard studios, London.

The sample pack costs $9.99 USD.

u-he has announced some more details on its upcoming releases, recently introduced at the Musikmesse 2013.

Apart from all those updates we also presented a couple of new products and the new modules for Diva…

u-he’s all new Satin Tape Machine plug-in.

Satin is a tape simulation plug-in that includes tape delay and true flanging. Under-the-hood features: record / playback head calibration, tape coating selection, NR-encoding/decoding and more.

Satin created such a buzz during the show that we can’t wait to release it!

Satin is scheduled for release in May for VST2, VST3, AU (AAX tba), estimated at $129 USD.

The long-awaited virtual modular synthesizer instrument Bazille is expected June, 2013, with an estimated price of $149 USD.

Many of you will already know the alpha version of Bazille, a spin-off from our long-term project “Berlin Modular”. It’s been a few years already, so its about time we finished the job!

For those who didn’t know, Bazille is a large modular synth with FM, PD and Fractal Resonance built into each oscillator:

• Unique FM / PD based modular synthesizer, audio-rate modulation
• Quality effects and many other features not available in the alpha version

The Diva virtual analog synthesizer is also getting another update, expected this June.

Despite the current update to V1.2, Diva will undergo yet another free update to include the following new modules:

• digital oscillator emulation with dual multi-saws, internal feedback, pitched noise and more
• ‘uhbie’ emulation of a certain legendary 2-pole filter
• powerful arpeggiator and sequencer
• ETA is June 2013, free update from Diva 1.x

Furthermore, u-he announced that a public beta of its Presswerk compressor plug-in will be available shortly.

IK Multimedia has announced Bus Compressor, White Channel, Tape Echo plus a re-skin of the popular British Channel, four new modules in the T-RackS Custom Shop.

Two multi-processor channel strips, a compressor and a vintage tape delay add-on to the T-RackS range of EQs, dynamics and reverb processors, now comprising over 20 of the best sounding mixing-and-mastering native plug-ins available for the most demanding audio engineers and producers.

These new essential sound processors are available either as single plug-ins or integrated within the T-RackS plug-in and standalone software suite of effects. They can be easily tried out and purchased by any user of the T-RackS Free, Classic, Deluxe and Grand editions, using T-RackS’ exclusive Custom Shop feature. Elektron has announced the release of Caught on Tape: 808+909, a drum machine sample library for the Octatrack.

Classics never go out of style. The Roland TR-808 and TR-909 are legendary drum machines, cherished and praised for their sound and percussive abilities. Goldbaby has pulled out all the stops and carefully recorded these revered machines using an Ampex 351 1/2″ valve 2 track tape machine. The result is warm, round and beautifully saturated analog sounds – perfect sample material for the Octatrack.

The sound pack is specifically made for the Octatrack. Included is an Octatrack set featuring 1 project, 16 patterns and 4 parts. Also included are 16 scenes per part, providing a great starting point for experimenting with the demo patterns.

The sound library costs 30 EUR.

Goldbaby has announced that its Tape909 drum machine sample library is now available in Maschine and Geist formats.

The Tape808 has been very well received so we decided to give the TR909 some tape love!… This is 1446 samples taken from a mint 909 recorded into an Ampex 351 1/2″ valve 2 track tape machine! That’s not all… We also put the 909 through other vintage gear. Plus we recorded it naked into a Metric Halo ULN-2 firewire audio card. Then we chose the best samples.

All 24 bit, and all solid 909 goodness! If you can’t get a hold of a real 909 then this is as close as you can get in samples… Maybe even better than the having the real thing!

The sample pack costs $29 USD. The download now includes Maschine, Battery, ReFill, Geist, Guru, iDrum and Wav formats.
