TC Electronic has announced the addition of a dual radar display to the LM6 loudness radar meter algorithm for TC TouchMonitors with software version 1.11.

With the optional LM6 algorithm installed, users can load two independent Radar meters simultaneously on their TC TouchMonitor TM7 or TM9. This opens a number of highly valuable configurations. For example, it is possible to let one Radar meter instance display a pre-processing signal while the other instance shows a post-processing signal – and best of all, both can be monitored at the same time for the ultimate audio overview. Another scenario could be having two Radar meters display both a stereo and a 5.1 signal simultaneously – or two stereo or two 5.1 signals, of course. Finally, both instances also provide 24 hour history for the audio being monitored.

Other instruments have been updated as well – for example, it is now possible to run multiple instances of the Surround Sound Analyzer. Also, the on-screen help feature has been improved as has the general UI expeience with e.g. enhanced mouse sensitivity and new slider functions. Finally, the software release also features improvements with regard to general stability and performance.

In essence, TC TouchMonitor TM7 & TM9 is the ultimate loudness meter solution, featuring touch screen, an extremely consistent loudness readout and compatibility with e.g. American, European and Japanese broadcasting standards.

TC Electronic has announced the RH750, a compact bass head boasting 750 watts of power and 1200 watts peak, as well as superior tonal capabilities and the well-known Bass Amp 2.0 feature set.

RH750 continues TC Electronic’s Bass Amp 2.0 quest of bringing a whole new set of features to bass players. TC Electronic has announced a software update for the PolyTune polyphonic tuner, adding Drop-D tuning.

TC Electronic has announced the DB4 MKII & DB8 MKII, two cross-platform broadcast processors which add more of everything compared to their predecessors.

DB4 MKII and DB8 MKII conform to new EBU, ATSC and ITU Loudness and True-peak level standards across all platforms and all formats. The broadcast world’s highest resolution, lowest latency and lowest distortion comes complimentary with DB4 MKII and DB8 MKII.

More Metering – The MKII versions feature the new EBU R128 and ATSC A/85 compliant LM6 Loudness Meter, new SNMP functions and one week of detailed logging, even without connection to a computer. In DB4 MKII, the LM6 meter is always available in addition to its two multichannel audio processors.

TC Group has announced it will become part of the AVnu Alliance, adding its companies’ expertise to the industry forum’s efforts to establish AVB as the next-generation open networking standard.

TC Group – parent company of leading audio manufacturing brands TC Electronic, Tannoy, Lab.gruppen, Lake and TC Helicon – announced on Tuesday at the opening of Integrated Systems Europe 2011 that it is to become part of the AVnu Alliance, the industry forum dedicated to the establishment and promotion of the IEEE 802.1 Audio/Video Bridging (AVB) open network standard. As TC Group is a major player in key sectors of the pro audio market, the move adds further momentum and specific market and technological expertise to the efforts in establishing AVB as the preferred Ethernet-based audio and video networking environment for next generation products.

Interoperability has long been a key consideration for the group, as it strives to align its diverse portfolio of audio products, with the objective of offering the customer ease of integration and complete system compatibility. TC Group is fully supportive of the move towards IEEE 802.1, stating that the establishment of AVB as the leading open standard will benefit customers, manufacturers and the industry as a whole by providing a level playing field for future product development while giving end users greater confidence in, and choice of, network-compatible devices.
