TC Electronic LM2 Radar Loudness Meter native plug-in introduced

TC Electronic LM2 Radar Loudness Meter

TC Electronic has announced that its LM2 Radar Loudness Meter technology is now available as a dedicated stereo plug-in supporting all major plug-in formats.

The new LM2 plug-in features TC’s innovative Radar Display that provides a quick – yet detailed – overview of the loudness landscape of any stereo audio signal. The main radar view shows loudness history, while the outer ring displays momentary short-term loudness. Finally, True-peak Levels are shown in real-time on the right side of the user interface, completing the overview.

Further, there are two versatile descriptors that can be set to reflect a variety of parameters – e.g. Loudness Range (LRA) and Program Loudness. Each revolution of the radar can be set from 1 minute to 24 hours, which means that LM2 will in fact log loudness data for up to 24 hours continuously.

The LM2 native plug-in for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS/AAX/Audio Suite) is available to purchase for the introductory price of $99 USD / 79 EUR until 30 June, 2012 (regular $199 USD / 159 EUR).

LM6 Radar Loudness Meter gets AudioSuite off-line measuring

TC Electronic LM6

TC Electronic has announced it has updated its LM6 Radar Loudness Meter to version 1.1, introducing faster-than-real-time, off-line measuring with AudioSuite in Pro Tools.

Existing LM6 users can now upgrade to version 1.1 and get access to the AudioSuite off-line feature, which allows for measuring a full track at a speed faster than real time.

After the track has been measured, LM6 displays the full loudness history of the track, using the easy-to-read Radar Display™, and complete loudness statistics, including Program Loudness (LKFS/LUFS), Loudness Range and True-Peak Max, are available instantly. There is even a text-based log file containing Loudness Range and Program Loudness data.

LM6′s Radar display reflects the overall loudness landscape almost instantly with off-line measuring in AudioSuite (Pro Tools).

LM6 Radar Loudness Meter for Windows and Mac is available to purchase for $599 USD / 449 EUR.

TC Electronic LM6 Radar Loudness Meter Native Plug-in now shipping

TC Electronic has announced that its new LM6 Radar Loudness Meter plug-in is now shipping.

TC Electronic’s acclaimed radar display has proven an efficient solution when upgrading audio production for broadcast, film and music from unsatisfactory peak level indicators to loudness-based metering. With the introduction of the new LM6 Radar Loudness Meter plug-in, audio professionals using Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Nuendo, Wavelab, Cubase, Sequoia, etc. on a Mac or PC can now benefit from having direct access to this revolutionary meter which covers all mono, stereo and 5.1 productions.

TC Electronic LM6

The user interface of the LM6 plug-in is similar to TC radar meters for other platforms, for instance LM5D for Pro Tools HD. Users familiar with the radar will therefore be able to move seamlessly between platforms. Thanks to pristine TC technology, the numbers also come out exactly the same whether a program is measured with LM5D, with a TC hardware radar meter, or with the LM6 plug-in.

LM6 shows loudness history in a single, easy-to-read, radar-like view. Each radar revolution can span from 1 minute to 24 hours. Two numbers may be selected for display below the radar, for instance Loudness Range and Program Loudness, while all measurements are retained on the Stats page. Loudness history and other key information can be logged as a standard formatted text file that may accompany a program for proof of delivery spec compliance. Further, the LM6 is a perfect ‘Sleeping Beauty’: Close the radar window and LM6 continues measuring. Precious screen space and resources are now freed up, while a retrospective radar and the important numbers are just a click away.

LM6 employs a fully synchronous, high-headroom design in order to also display true-peak warnings and true-peak bar graphs correctly; and it conforms with all of the major broadcast standards based on Leq(K) – e.g. ITU BS.1770-2, ATSC A/85 and EBU R128 (August 2011 update).

The LM6 Radar Loudness Meter plug-in for Windows and Mac (VST/AU/RTAS/AAX) is available to purchase for $599 USD / 449 EUR. Owners of LM5D for Pro Tools HD, TC’s PowerCore platform, and new owners of LM2, TM7, TM9, System 6000 MKII, DB2, DB4 MKII, DB8 MKII or P2 are eligible to crossgrade for $399 USD / 299 EUR.
