DNR Collaborative House Kit Pro for Sylenth1

DNR Collaborative Designs has released House Kit Pro, a soundset for LennarDigital Sylenth1 featuring 120 heavy basses, silky pads, dynamic arps, classic stabs, dreamy keys that have been designed specifically with house music and it’s derivatives in mind.

House Kit Pro features

  • 120 highly-usable sounds covering a wide array of house styles, making heavy use of the modulation wheel, pitchbend and velocity control.
  • All applied modulations have been scaled to the appropriate amount so that transitions move smoothly between states.
  • This soundbank also utilizes the entire bank structure of Sylenth1′s sound management layout (as does Sylenth Signature V2), with clearly defined categories marked at the top of each column, with room to expand and offer new sounds through the use of “expansion” columns.

DNR Signature V2 for Sylenth1

DNR Collaborative has announced the release of Signature V2, a soundset for the Sylenth1 synthesizer by LennarDigital.

Signature V2 for the Sylenth1 VSTi synthesizer is a package of 182 cutting edge bass, lead, pad, sequenced, decayed/plucked and keyboard sounds that range from deep talking basses to searing trance arps, to plinky sequences and dark ambiance. This package is intended on filling a gap of high-quality, USABLE sounds for modern dance and electronic music. Where most soundsets strive to provide you with sounds you’ll never use, we intend on providing you with high-quality, expressive sounds that can be used and modified to fit into a wide range of project styles.

Signature V2 features

  • Expansion-Ready – This soundbank utilizes the entire bank structure of Sylenth1′s sound management layout, with clearly defined categories marked at the top of each column, with room to expand and offer new sounds through the use of “expansion” columns. These expansion columns are specifically so that we can continue to update the product without having to restructure the bank any futher.
  • High Performance – Sylenth Signature V2 offers 182 highly-usable sounds covering a wide array of styles, making heavy use of the modulation wheel, pitchbend and velocity control. We’ve also reduced the amount of unnecessary modulations, making the sounds more clear and easy to use.

Rekkerd.org music contest: “Moving”

moving, image by yehwan @ Flickr

As I am preparing to relocate my family to a new house this March, the subject of “moving” has been on my mind a lot lately.

Moving is about putting things in motion. Besides the obvious physical aspect, there can be quite an emotional side to moving as well. Seemed like a suitable theme for a music production contest.

Most of you would probably join the contest for the fun of it, but it doesn’t hurt to have some nice prizes, right? I am pleased to say there are lots of goodies to be won this time around.

The following list is in no particular order (as winners each get to pick their choice from the prize pot, per the contest rules below).

Contest sponsors

Contest prizes

  • Three downloads of your choice from Wave Alchemy, the sound design outfit responsible for some of the best electronic drum sample libraries around.
  • DUNE, Synapse Audio‘s new flagship “differential unison engine” synthesizer instrument for Windows and Mac. A copy of the slightly older yet still venerable and duly popular Hydra multi-model synth is also on offer.
  • $500 USD store credit at Soniccouture, the established company behind many unusual & unique sample libraries such as Glass Works, The Skiddaw Stones, Balinese Gamelan, (Xtended) Piano, and the upcoming Ondes Martenot.
  • Berlin-based Cableguys contributes a total of 4 prizes from its exciting line of audio plug-ins. Single licenses for Curve, FilterShaper 2 & VolumeShaper 2, plus the complete Cableguys Bundle.
  • A two year all-inclusive subscription account at DNR Collaborative, which gives access to the entire product catalog + 2 years worth of new products. On top of that three randomly picked contestants will receive a Transitions Bundle.

Yes, that’s no less than 12 prizes to be won!

Although this is not a sample remix contest I still made sample pack for those who enjoy working with loops. The download includes 24 .wav samples (24bit), both melodic and beats. You can preview & download individual files from the SoundCloud player below, or download the complete pack here (47.9MB RAR archive).

Please make sure to read the contest rules below carefully. Good luck, and have fun!

The contest deadline is set to April 3rd.

There are no specific rules on how to incorporate the theme, be creative.

DNR Collaborative Impact Sessions

DNR Collaborative has released Impact Sessions, a sample library featuring impact sounds.

Impact Sessions is a package of 62 custom samples designed to give producers a versatile palette of impact sounds that are meant for use in any number of different contexts, from modern music breakdowns to broadcast stingers.

Impact Sessions is the first in a series of smaller, more focused sample libraries devoted to providing a large variety of individual sample packs that are usable in multiple media formats (video games, broadcast, music, etc), instead of buying larger, broader libraries that may not be as much use.

DNR Collaborative releases The Unfinished Breaks Volume 1 + Anatomy01 update for Bundle Owners

DNR Collaborative The Unfinished Breaks Vol 1

DNR Collaborative has announced the release of The Unfinished Breaks Volume 1, a breaks sample pack.

The Unfinished Breaks are a collection of 100 deep, punchy and highly-flexible breaks that range from 68-158bpm and sit beautifully within a mix. These loops are powerful and usable in a wide variety of music and can easily add a greatly needed impact to a track or combine to build large climax sections.

Great attention has been paid to the length of these loops – no one bar quickies are included, just solid 8 and 16 bar rhythms with well-designed breakdowns and fills. Check out the demo bank (64.2mb) and audio demos on soundcloud @ http://soundcloud.com/teamdnr/sets/the-unfinished-breaks-showcase/

The Unfinished Breaks Volume 1 is available to purchase for $14 USD, and is also now available to all 1 and 2 years inclusive subscription holders from their user accounts.

DNR Collaborative has also updated the Anatomy01 Waveform Collection, specifically for
bundle holders, which now contains 514 individual single-cycle waveforms. Bundle holders can download the update from their user accounts.
