The Unfinished releases Omnisphere Horizon II

The Unfinished Omnisphere Horizon II

The Unfinished has released Omnisphere Horizon II, a collection of 128 patches for Spectrasonics’ Omnisphere aimed at electronic/hybrid film scoring and atmospheric electronica.

In Horizon II you will find deep, punchy basslines; pulsing, thrilling synth sequences; evolving, driving percussion loops; lush, detailed pads and soundscapes; plus growling basses, emotional pianos and epic impacts.

This comprehensive and immersive collection is designed to be a ‘go to’ resource for soundtrack and electronica projects, whether you’re looking to add depth to an existing track or kickstart some brand new ideas. The scope of the 128 sounds in Horizon II is wide enough to write whole cues without using any other synths or libraries; and all the sounds have programmed with immediate, flexible and dynamic control dialled into the modwheel function.

Horizon II builds on the dark, dynamic underscore nature of Horizon, adding a number of ‘lighter’ more ethereal sounds in the spirit of composers/producers such as Cliff Martinez, Brian Eno and Thomas Newman. If you need fresh, new sounds for your film, game or media project, then Horizon II is an essential bit of kit.

The original Horizon is already being used in films, TV series and games soundtracks around the world.

Omnisphere Horizon II is available to purchase for £19.99 GBP. A free ‘taster pack’ of 15 sounds from the collection can be download for free.

The Unfinished Massive Darkscore IV

The Unfinished has announced the release of Massive Darkscore IV, the latest release in the Darkscore series, which aims to provide cutting edge digital electronic sounds for hybrid film scoring and atmospheric electronica.

Darkscore IV is a collection of 200 high quality patches for NI Massive, full of gritty basslines, energetic synth sequences, deep pads, roaring basses and dark soundscapes.

If you are looking to add some deep, dark, driving electronics and atmospherics to your music, this collection provides you with a huge range of sonic possibilities. At its core it is targeted at the darker side of electronic film scoring, but is also flexible enough to be used in atmospheric electronic genres such as dubstep, ambient and industrial. The collection has been influenced by recent film scores, such as Total Recall and Judge Dredd, as well as the twisted electronic tones of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

Each patch comes with flexible control via the eight macro knobs, allowing you to quickly control the tone and dynamics of the sounds and providing access to hundreds of new variations.

Darkscore IV for Massive is available to purchase for £19.99 GBP (requires NI Massive 1.3 or higher, .nmsv format). A free demo pack is available to download.

The Unfinished KTH Sample Pack

The Unfinished has released the KTH Sample Pack, a free collection of samples and loops.

They all come from a project I recently worked on, a demo track for Impact Soundworks’ new Dombra library – you can read more about the track on my music site www.mattbowdler.com.

The 40 samples are mainly percussion loops, plus a few synth lines and reverse sfx. The samples come in 24 bit 4k WAV format and the tempo-specific loops are at 150bpm.

The sample pack is free for The Unfinished Facebook fans.

The Unfinished Absynth Geometron

The Unfinished has announced Absynth Geometron, a collection of 128 beautiful and dark sounds aimed at ambient, downtempo and electronic film scoring.

Full of warm, lush and experimental noises, Geometron specialises in cinematic pads, dusty keys and subtle basses.

The idea behind Geometron is global-friendly post-club, early morning sounds. Think riding an empty metro train in Tokyo at 3am, waiting for the sun to rise over horizon in downtown Buenos Aires, or sitting on a Bali shore watching the fishermen go out for their first catch of the day.

The soundset is available to purchase at £14.99 GBP. A demo pack of 20 sounds can be downloaded free of charge. Geometron requires Absynth 5 (some sounds will not work in Absynth 4) and uses the .nabs format.

The Unfinished has also launched a Christmas Sale, offering a 50% off everything (except Geometron) including some new bundles.
