Time+Space introduces Impact Designer by Zero-G

Time+Space has announced Impact Designer, a virtual instrument library that allows you to create your own epic SFX.

Zero-G Impact Designer

Zero-G have once again joined forces with Dan Graham (Animato, Spiritoso, Luminso, Perpetuo) to release ‘Impact Designer’.

Create your own unique hits, bangs, epic slams, booms, whacks and more with this brand new collection for Kontakt which, thanks to a high level of customisation options, gives you over 15 million possible variations!

Under the hood there are 3 dynamic velocity layers and 3 round robins for each sound so it all stays nicely organic-sounding without a machine-gun effect of repeat sample-triggering.

Every Impact is made up of 3 elements – HIT, BOOM and DECAY. Respectively, these 3 elements are the attack, the body of the hit and the long release. The Impact Designer instrument quickly crossfades between the 3 different sounds in order to produce sonic complexity and a very wide range of possible variations. There is also a Pre-Hit function which is a reverse sound that can give your Impact an impressive thwack.
Of course, there are times when you simply need epic sounds in an instant, so why not take your pick from the collection of 90 presets – some of which were created by The Unfinished’s Matt Bowdler.

The library is available for the introductory price of £54.95 GBP until Friday 11th June (regular £69.95 GBP).

Time+Space intros Analogue Workshop Vol 2: Dark Ambient

Time+Space has announced the release of Analogue Workshop Vol 2: Dark Ambient, a new Analogue Workshop series sample library by Ian Boddy.

Ian Boddy Analogue Workshop Vol 2: Dark Ambient

Culled from Ian’s personal collection of vintage and analogue modular synths, these sounds dwell very much in the darker realms of ambience and electronic music. Dig in and you’ll find over 500 Kontakt patches that run the full gamut from subsonic drones, evolving pads and haunting modulations to weird, surreal atmospheres.

Meanwhile, the one-shot section contains a range of crunchy, deep, weird short percussive sounds and FX that can be used to spice up any drum kit or add impact to key moments in your musical compositions.

A new custom designed Kontakt graphical interface provides even more variation and programming opportunities in the way the sounds are presented. This is rounded out by a set of impulse responses for the convolution reverb taken directly from analogue modules to further enhance the overall sound character.

Dark Ambient is available for purchase for £34.95 GBP / 41.95 EUR. The pack is also included in the Analogue Workshop Bundle, which combines both titles for £49.95 GBP (save £20).

Time+Space intros Extreme Environments by Zero-G & Si Begg

Zero-G Extreme Environments

Time+Space has announced the release of Extreme Environments, a soundscape creator instrument library by Zero-G and Si Begg.

Zero-G Extreme Environments combines a state-of-the-art Kontakt user interface with loops and impulse responses to produce a highly flexible tool for creating very rich, detailed and hyper-real sounds – from beds and drones to actual pads and instruments you can play.

Produced by Si Begg, the sound design supremo behind other Zero-G titles including Distorted Dancefloors and Electro Glitch Essentials, Extreme Environments features three channels where you can select any one of the 142 loops.

For each channel you can then control the pitch, time stretch, amplitude & filter envelopes, saturation and reverb send. All three channels are then mixed together and put through master high pass and low pass filters, then finally a limiter.

The other key part of the instrument is the convolution reverb, which any of the three channels can be sent to. You can choose any one of the 86 bespoke impulse responses, ranging from straightforward to extreme sound design. This adds great depth and atmospheric detail beyond the standard reverbs you might usually come across. The combination of all these features makes for an almost limitless palette of sound creation.

Extreme Environments features

  • Kontakt Instrument with custom GUI and over 150 presets (requires Kontakt version 5.3.0 or later).
  • Audio loops – available as AIFF Apple Loops or Acidized wav files.
  • Impulse responses for use with any convolution reverb.
  • Logic EXS24 Instruments and Reason NN-XT Instruments.
  • Space Designer Presets.
  • Logic Channel Strip Settings.

Extreme Environments is available for purchase for RRP £59.95 GBP / 74.95 EUR.
