Tone2 has announced the release of State of Art, an expansion pack for Gladiator 2, designed by professional sound designers: Bastiaan van Noord, Bryan ‘Xenos’ Lee, Alusio de Lima, Dajan Izzo, Massimo Bosco, Marco Scherer, Patchen Preston and Markus Feil.

State of Art includes new add-on features and a collection of 315 ingeniously programmed sounds, suitable for a wide range of genres including Ambient, Experimental, Progressive, Atmosphere, Chillout, EDM and Electronica.

A must have if you’re looking for new sounds, or want to expand Gladiator 2 with more features.

Xenos Soundworks has released Decay, a collection of presets for Tone2 Firebird.

Decay is a bank of 32 dark and moody sounds inspired by urban exploration. Think decaying buildings, asbestos hazards, old machinery, used syringes laying on the ground, forgotten memories, shattered glass, and the adrenaline rush and undercurrent of fear you get when you are snooping around someplace you aren’t supposed to be. The sounds in the Decay soundset are fitting for musicians of all different tastes wishing to inject some creepy mojo into their tracks.

This collection comes in fxb format and also includes the individual preset files in fxp format, which are emailed to you together in a single zip file.

TeamDNR has announced the release of Paperdolls, a collection of presets for Tone2’s Firebird+ synthesizer.

Paperdolls consists of two banks – Nudist Colony and Dressed For Success. Each bank consists of 32 “character” presets and focuses on experimental and ambient production style.

Nudist Colony represents firebird at it’s most basic – only the OSC and AMP ENV sections were used to create the sounds. These sounds are useful when you want to slather on a good heaping of third party effects as inserts or sends in your DAW. Each one of the “characters” in this bank can be “dressed up” using third party effects as inserts or sends in your DAW.

Dressed for Success takes the Nudist Colony bank and “remixes” it using all available parameters on the firebird UI, including the arp, filter, filter envelope, and internal effects sections.

Tone2 has released version 2.2 of Gladiator, a virtual synthesizer plug-in for Windows PC and Mac.

Gladiator 2 gives you a groundbreaking approach to sound generation, while supporting an extensive list of synthesis methods, including Tone2’s award winning Harmonic Content Morphing (HCM) HCM uses a large, expandable collection of standard and resynthesized waves, these waves can be modified in real time, altering their harmonic structure. The innovative HCM synthesis covers new and unique aural territory, only possible with Gladiator.

Tone2 has released version 1.10.2 of FireBird+, a virtual synthesizer instrument for Windows.

FireBird+ is not just another synthesizer, it uses Harmonic Content Morphing (HCM) synthesis to provide a powerful, unique and innovative architecture for next-generation sounds, never heard before.

HCM synthesis combines standard and resynthesized waves, which can be modified in real time using various modifiers altering their harmonic structure.
