Ignite Amps has released TPA-1, a digital emulation of a class AB tube power amplifier for guitar.
The TPA-1 is a digital emulation of a class AB tube power amplifier for guitar. It has been designed and developed to be paired with any guitar preamp (VST/AU or even hardware).
Its circuit is not based on any particular physical power amplifier, but it has been designed to have enough versatility to range from vintage to modern tones, letting the user be free to shape its dynamic behaviour with ease, without the need to be a tube amplifier tech.
Every single component on the signal path of the analog circuit has been taken into account and modeled in the best possible way to match the original sound as it was meant to be, while keeping an eye on CPU performances and real-time playability at the same time.
The TPA-1 is meant to be used as a guitar tube power amplifier simulator for live playing and jamming, tracking or mixing inside hosts capable of VST or AU Plug-Ins support.
TPA-1 for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) is available as freeware.
We’re not in the business of recycling sounds from sample packs found around the internet. We’re also not in the business of providing you with a folder of 1000′s of drum sounds to sort through. We create original samples and deliver a manageable amount of sounds at your reach. Spend more time making music and less time sorting.
Monosole: Dirty Arse Drum Hits vol 1.5 features
Over 100 Drum Hits in 16 bit WAV format.
Bonus folder containing all of the drum hits ran through a HHB tube preamp to cassette.
Drum kit mic’d with a Coles 4038 ribbon mic and mixed through a EQP-1A for a warm vintage sound.
Compatible with all major software DAWs including; Ableton Live, Apple Logic, Pro Tools, FL Studio, Propellerheads Reason, etc.
Compatible with all hardware samplers that accept 16 bit WAV files; Akai MPC samplers, Roland MV8000, Yamaha samplers, etc.
Instant Digital Download.

Voxengo’s group buy system is now available for its Pristine Space, TransGainer and Warmifier, offering a change to get up to 50% discount on these effect plug-ins for Windows and Mac.
Get up to 50% off the Warmifier tube warming/harmonic enhancing plug-in.
Voxengo Group Buys
Pristine Space is a native audio VST plugin which allows you to use convolution reverb impulses in your audio projects.
TransGainer, an audio plug-in suitable for a wide range of professional music production uses, implements an audio signal envelope adjustment algorithm that reacts on transients rather than on a signal’s loudness level. This algorithm allows you to adjust volume of attack and sustain stages of any sounds you use it on. TransGainer was designed in a way to be suitable for all possible sound sources – be it individual tracks or full mixes.
Warmifier is a special plug-in for professional music production applications which processes audio signal in a way similar to analog valve equipment. By using Warmifier you can achieve valve warming and “console” coloration effects.
The group buy voting stage ends July 18th, 2013 (or earlier if 50% discount is reached). Note: voting does not oblige you to purchase said plug-in(s).
Variety Of Sound has launched Thrillseeker VBL, a free Vintage Broadcast Limiter effect plug-in for Windows.
Thrillseeker VBL is a “modded” version, which not only has the classic gain reduction controls but also grants detailed access to the amount and appearance of harmonic tube amplifier distortion occurring in the analog tube circuit.
Bringing mojo back – Thrillseeker VBL is an emulation of a “vintage broadcast limiter” following the classic Variable-Mu design principles from the early 1950′s. They were used to prevent audio overshoots by managing sudden signals changes.
From today’s perspective, and compared to brickwall limiters, they are rather slow and should be seen as more of a gain structure leveler, but they still are shining when it comes to perform gain riding in a very musical fashion – they have warmth and mojo written all over.
ThrillseekerVBL is available to download as a freeware VST effect plug-in for Windows.
Slate Digital has launched Virtual Buss Compressors, a plug-in suite comprising three unique sounding, 100% analog modeled dynamic processors that are ideal for program material.
Every nuance of real analog compressors has been modeled; including the exact nonlinear characteristics of their transformers, tubes, VCAs, amplifiers, phase distortions, harmonic distortions, and timing.
Virtual Buss Compressors contains 3 models of some of the industry’s most sought after analog gear.
The FG-GREY is a replication of the classic British console compressor, with some fat sounding transformers added in to beef up the low end. The GREY will give your mix that classic glue and punch that you’ve heard on so many hits!
The FG-RED is a replication of the classic RED mixbuss compressor that has been used for decades by some of the world’s top mixers. It sounds tight, punchy, and has rich harmonics from the output transformers.
The FG-MU is a hybrid of several tube compressor designs that is lush, warm, fat, and open sounding. The MU will give your mix tons of depth and analog vibe!
Each compressor also includes a hi pass filter and parallel mix wet/dry knob for ultimate flexibility! Finally, some of the most common professional presets have been added to each compressor to get you started quickly!
Virtual Buss Compressors features
3 Unique 100% Analog Modeled Buss Compressors.
Precisely emulated circuit paths including amplifiers and transformers.
Tons of classic presets used by top mix engineers.
Available as a rack or individual plugins.
2 Activations per user.
The VBC bundle is available for $199 USD, including a free iLok 2 until July 12th, 2013.
Tronsonic has launched Kork M500 Micro Preset, a virtual synthesizer instrument for Native Instruments Kontakt.
I tried to get it as close (both visually and audibly) as I could to the original late 70s preset synth (as used by OMD on many records), and also added a few extra features like polyphony and a tape compression and damage effect.
In order to maintain the purity of the waveforms, I chose not to sample to tape (hence the ‘tape fx’ section), but used valves and a chain of nearly 100 year old interstage transformers to capture the audio.
All of the presets are selectable via the interface (as with the real synth), as well as the effects/edit section under the red button.
As you can see, the tape input gain and warmth settings are also controllable via dedicated attack and decay envelopes, enabling a very accurate emulation of ‘hitting’ the tape, and its compression effects. The random gain, warmth and tone are also synced to the tape speed frequency knob, which controls the wow and flutter.
The Kork M500 Micro Preset library is available at the introductory price of £11.99 GBP until June 29th, 2013 (20% off regular).
