Uppercussion has announced the release of Bitkits, a free collection of ten 8-bit drum kits in collaboration with Icebreaker Audio.

The samples in Bitkits come from a time when 8-bit sounds were the standard for video games and digital synthesizers. The kits give you 8-bit versions of kick, snare and hihat sounds, as well as a large collection of beeps, buzzes, noises, arpeggiations and other sound effects typical of the 8-bit era.

All of the samples in Bitkits were created using the BitRate digital drum machine for Reaktor, created by Icebreaker Audio. BitRate features realistic emulations of digital sound engines from the late 80s and early 90s in an intuitive interface.

Uppercussion has announced the release of Conundrums and Monstrosities, two new multi-format synthetic drum kit libraries.

Conundrums is a collection of 50 drum kits designed to be a go-to library for all kinds of productions created with a 16-pad interface. The library includes processed sounds originating from studio sessions, field recordings, and both analog and digital sound synthesis. Conundrums will add kicks, snares and claps, hihats and cymbals, percussion, hits and more to a beat-creation arsenal. All of the kits use a similar drum mapping, making it easy to switch among them while playing beats or using patterns.

Monstrosities is a drum kit library designed for the times when the user gets angry and needs to create music. These kits are dirty, distorted, processed, over-processed, disturbing, and sometimes hostile. The kits in this collection include a wide range of kicks, snares, cymbals, hits, strikes, bashes, roars, blasts, and industrial accidents.

Both libraries include 50 kits and 800 samples each, with formats including Maschine, Live 9, Geist, Battery, Kontakt, EXS24, Halion and Reason NN-XT, and single WAV samples.

Conundrums and Monstrosities are available to purchase for $29 USD each. A bundle of both is available for $49 USD until March 31st, 2013.

Uppercussion has released Bomblastic, a drum sample sound library.

Bomblastic is a Hip Hop drum kit library with 50 kits of punchy kicks, cracking snares, crisp claps, powerful percussion, biting shakers, hihats, cymbals, toms, and lots more.

The kits are especially designed to be used with Hip Hop, and they also fit for related genres such as Dubstep, RnB, Pop and Dance.

Uppercussion has announced the release of its Digicussion 2 and Kickpak 1 sample packs.

Digicussion 2 is a large synthetic drum kit library composed of new, unique sounds for innovative modern productions. The library provides hard kicks, twisted snares, ambient stabs and complexly interacting layers and was created using cutting edge sound design and high fidelity synthesis and sampling. The kits in Digicussion 2 are concise and playable, designed to provide inspiration for creative rhythmic input for music of all styles.

Kickpak 1 is a collection of 350 kick samples. The kicks are divided into 8 categories: Hard, Attacked, Tonal, Ambient, Buzzed, Distorted, Standard and Unique. The samples were designed to consider all types of modern productions, and were created using unique sampling and synthesis methods.

Digicussion 2 features

• 50 kits.
• Six categories of kits, sorted by sound.
• 16 samples in each kit, for a total of 800 samples.
• Samples are 24-bit, 44.1 kHz.
• Formats include Maschine, Battery, Geist, Kontakt, EXS24, Halion and NN-XT, as well as single WAV samples.
• Sample folders are separated by sound type (based on the Maschine sample folder structure).
• Total sample size is 165 MB (130 MB compressed).

Kickpak 1 features
