Loopmasters has released Hip Hop Instrumentals, a laid back selection of replica vintage Breaks, Beats, Basses and lush Musical Elements from the studio of London’s Chemo.

Chemo began as a Producer and DJ for south London group ‘Frontline’ along with MC’s Syanyde and LeEo. Alongside rapper Conflix he created the Character Assassins series of mix tapes which were notable for featuring ‘Assassin Sessions’ which were recordings made in one take to simulate the live Cypher element of Hip-Hop events.

“I wanted to create a pack of drums, melodies and other textures with an organic feel. Suited perfectly for dusty, golden age Hip-Hop, but also for more experimental Trip-Hop / Downbeat production. I try to maintain an analog warmth and grit with my productions and anyone who, like me, is mesmerized by the crackle of a vinyl, should find this kit most satisfying!”

Weighing in at 1GB, Hip Hop Instrumentals includes 276 24Bit samples, with 172 lops between 84 – 126 Bpm, and 104 one Shot Samples. Also included are 9 ready to play patches for Kontakt, Halion, EXS, SFZ and Reason NNXT compatible soft samplers. Apple Loops, Reason Refill and Ableton Live versions are available to purchase separately.

SampleScience has announced the release of Dusty Eclectic Goldmine Vol. 1, its first commercial sample library.

Dusty Eclectic Goldmine is a collection of sounds consisting mainly of breakbeat loops. The focus is on dirty, lofi sounds that would fit well into a mix of Boards of Canada & Aphex Twin tracks. The collection also include a dialogue folder full of sound clips from vintage advertising & educational movies. Those public domain cuts have been selected to be usefull for anyone seeking worthwhile sound bites to put in their mix. They have been sampled with Ninja Tune records & early 1990 IDM in mind. The rest of the collection consist of inspiring music loops as well as FXs, one shots, field recordings & vinyl crackles.

I hope you’ll enjoy this collection. While designing the sounds, I had in mind to put up a sound library similar to the good old e-Lab X-Static Goldmine libraries. Don’t hesitate to chop, remix & re-arrange the loops & sounds to your taste! It is by no mean a string the dots/construction kit type of library. It is meant to be sampled & chop in a creative way.

The wav files works well in Sony MediaSoftwares Acid music production software as well as any other softwares that loads 24 bits wav files. The library is also available in REX2 format.

ToneBytes and Softrave has released Analog Noise, an effect which adds the sound and atmosphere of analog recordings to your tracks and mixes.

The purpose of the plug-in is to add sounds typically found in the recordings of existing devices. For this goal, Analog Noise has 21 sound profiles, including the sound of magnetic tape with various coverings, the sound of vinyl records, and the sound of the signal of various tube and transistor devices, such as Hammond Sounder, Moog Liberation, Akai Ax-73, JVC MI-5000, etc.

With the help of the embedded equalizer, it is possible to either emphasize or mute those parts of the noise profile you want. The features of the equalizer are selected in such a way that it keeps its use of noise sounding natural.

A big range of noise level settings makes it possible to saturate the sound a little, or to greatly distort it. This allows Analog Noise to be used not only for adding effects to sound, but also as a source of the sound of different noises to be used in experimental styles of electronic music.
