Virtuasonic

Virtuasonic has announced Sinori Studio, a sample library based on a new musical instrument.

Sinori is a one of a kind percussion derived from a sheet of steel, capable of producing a wide range of interesting sounds thanks to its unorthodox design and shape that allows unique playing techniques, as well as the most traditional ones.

Virtuasonic has painstakingly recorded two Sinori models in collaboration with its creator: a standard version (Sinori Studio) and a special prototype (Sinori Live, already available). All the sounds taken during the recording sessions feature a wide range of playing techniques: drumsticks, mallets, hands, string bow, super-ball mallets, chains and body-playing, a special technique unique to this instrument.

Sinori Studio will be released in 2013. Prices and technical features TBA.

Virtuasonic has also announced a Bundles Party offer on all sample libraries, offering up to 50% off the list price. Additionally individual products (including plug-ins) are available at a 20% discount until January 7th, 2013. Use the coupon code nyparty at the checkout.

Virtuasonic releases Drums From a Car for Kontakt

Virtuasonic Drums From a Car

Virtuasonic has released Drums From a Car, a sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt.

Drums From a Car is a particular sample library derived from an experimental music and sound design project named Music from a Car. The basic idea was to play a car as a sort of musical instrument.

As you can see from the video of Music From a Car, all the sounds come just from playing the car: by patting on the windows, punching and slapping the bumper, rubbing parts made of fabric or plastic, giving fuel, playing rhythms on the wings, the roof, and so on.

Additional samples were recorded to complete the sample library. The Kontakt’s sound processing capabilities have also been used to alter the original samples and create new drums sounds.

All samples have recorded at 24 bit / 96 KHz and each Kontakt instrument is available at least in three versions: as part of a Kontakt Multi (original, altered, echo), EXT (mapped on a wider zone of the keyboard to extend its possibilities) and EXT Altered (processed using some Kontakt built-in FX).

Drums From a Car features

  • 30 instruments and 5 Multis for KONTAKT
  • Up to 5 dynamics and 12 Round Robins
  • Pre-configured customizable FX section
  • 468 Samples (97 MB)
  • 24 bit / 96 KHz
  • Formats: Kontakt 3.5+ / accessible WAV files

Drums From a Car for Kontakt 3.5 or higher (full version) is available to purchase for the introductory price of 16.95 EUR until the end of June (regular price 19.95 EUR). Prices excl. VAT.
