Virtuasonic has released version 4.5 of MIJOY PRO, a VSTi plug-in for Windows that allows you to use a joystick or gamepad as a MIDI controller.
MIJOY PRO 4 is a premium application designed to let you control virtual instruments, hardware synthesizers, samplers and effects processors in a more friendly and effective way, as well as opening up new possibilities of approaching them.
This new version introduces support for two new axes: X and Y rotation.

- Optimized to use less CPU resources.
- On some systems the MIDI Output Port list was not working properly. This bug is now fixed.
Note: To work properly MIJOY PRO requires a Soundcard, a Joystick/gamepad and a Windows VST Host (or Sequencer) that does not filter joystick data.

Virtuasonic has announced the release of Epic FX for EXS, NN-XT and SFZ.
EPIC FX is a sample library that contains nearly 500 sound effects designed for adding impact to your music productions, trailers, cinema and TV post production.
Previously EPIC FX was released for Native Instrument’s Kontakt only, but now it has been converted to other popular formats, like: Apple Logic EXS, Propellerhead Reason NN-XT and SFZ.

Virtuasonic has released Noise at the Concert, a sample collection featuring various audience and stage noises recorded before and during different classical music concerts.
It can be useful for sound design, but also to composers that want to add a touch of realism to their MIDI mock-ups.
Weighting in at over 1 GB, this collection contains a total of 124 samples subdivided into eight sets that include the usual “moments of waiting” before a piece (chattering, stage noise, paper noise, coughs, etc.), and of course different kinds of applause.
All sounds are 24bit/44.1KHz stereo files, a sampleset is also available at the higher sampling rate of 96KHz. This last one has been recorded from two positions (in front of the ensemble/orchestra and on the stage) that can be used alone or mixed at your taste to obtain a different balance between the two recordings. This particular approach makes it suitable for surround productions also.
