Voxengo updates CurveEQ equalizer plugin to v3.2

Related: , , , , Posted in news on May 03, 2013 - comment 0 comments
Voxengo CurveEQ

Voxengo has updates its CurveEQ spline equalizer effect plug-in for Windows and Mac to version 3.2.

CurveEQ implements spectrum matching technology that allows you to transfer spectrum’s shape of one recording to another. In other words, this allows you to “copy” frequency balance of existing time-proven mixes so that other mixes that are still in the works may have a chance to sound better. This technology also greatly helps in music mastering since using it allows you to easily lessen any dramatic differences in the area of frequency balance between various tracks.

Changes in CurveEQ v3.2

  • Routing is now configured automatically in most cases.
  • Crash when a control point was close to the maximal or minimal frequency fixed.
  • Now static spectrum can be loaded from a WAV file directly.

CurveEQ for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) costs $89.95 USD.

Voxengo updates Drumformer effect plugin to v1.3

Voxengo Drumformer

Voxengo has released version 1.3 of its Drumformer multiband drum track processing plug-in for Windows and Mac.

Drumformer can operate in broadband, 2-band and 3-band modes, with each band having compressor-expander and saturation modules. The sound of the compressor can be defined as “gluey with a ping”, because it instantly creates a “tight and glued together” sound while masterfully emphasizing the transients. The saturation module offers you a choice between six saturation modes, each having a smooth sound and differing harmonic content.

Changes in Drumformer v1.3

  • The EQ curve is now hidden when the equalizer is set to “Off”.
  • A crash when loading some routing presets was fixed.

Drumformer (VST/AU) is available to purchase for $89.95 USD.

Voxengo releases Shinechilla effect plugin

Related: , , , , Posted in news on Apr 15, 2013 - comment 0 comments

Voxengo has announced the release of Shinechilla, an experimental creative sound effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.

Shinechilla allows you to generate and blend 2nd, 3rd and 4th harmonics with the original dry sound. The harmonic generation process offered by Shinechilla is quite unique on the plug-in market since it produces almost no intermodulation distortion.

Shinechilla is mainly usable for solo instrument processing where it literally “shines” by producing convincing and full-bodied harmonic coloration. Shinechilla is also unique in that it is able to add harmonic coloration on top of the sound instead of distorting the whole sound. However, the option to saturate the whole sound is also available.

The strength of harmonic coloration added by Shinechilla can be flexibly adjusted over the whole frequency range, for each harmonic. In overall, Shinechilla is a great tool for contemporary electronic music producers looking for impressive timbres.

Voxengo Shinechilla
Shinechilla adds an exceptional shine and bite to your sounds.

Shinechilla features

  • 2nd, 3rd, 4th harmonics generator.
  • Spectral saturation.
  • Spectral harmonic level control.
  • Spectral threshold control.
  • Stereo and multi-channel processing.
  • Internal channel routing.
  • Channel grouping.
  • Mid/side processing.
  • Up to 8x oversampling.
  • 64-bit floating point processing.
  • Preset manager.
  • Undo/redo history.
  • A/B comparisons.
  • Contextual hint messages.
  • All sample rates support.
  • 60 ms compensated processing latency.

Voxengo updates GlissEQ effect plugin to v3.7

Related: , , , , Posted in news on Mar 06, 2013 - comment 0 comments
Voxengo GlissEQ

Voxengo has released version 3.7 of its GlissEQ dynamic parametric equalizer effect plug-in for Windows and Mac.

The most interesting and unique feature GlissEQ offers you is its filters with dynamic behavior. While when using a normal equalizer you always get what you have set: if you specify 6 dB boost at 100 Hz you get exactly 6 dB boost at 100 Hz.

GlissEQ offers you a slightly different approach: when you specify +6 dB at 100 Hz, you don’t necessarily get 6 dB of gain, filter’s effective gain is adjusted dynamically according to the sound material you are filtering.

Changes in GlissEQ v3.7

  • “Wide View Mode” user interface display mode implemented.
  • The “Load CSV” and “Save CSV” text file functions added.
  • Fixed rare occasional crashes on Mac OS X.
  • If secondary spectrum is active, the delta between primary and secondary spectrums at cursor position is now displayed.

GlissEQ for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) is available to purchase for $99.95 USD.
