Waldorf has released Nave, a next generation wavetable syntheser for iOS.
Waldorf’s Nave advanced wavetable synthesizer for iPad.
Nave is the first Waldorf synthesizer for the iPad. With its vivid user interface, Nave invites you to explore and play the extensive factory set that covers more than 500 exceptional sounds. For those who want to dive deeper into synthesis, Nave offers tremendous potential and serves as a professional tool for sound creation.
The wavetable synthesis, known from numerous Waldorf products, has been extended with many new exciting functions. Besides brand new wavetables that make extensive use of the enhanced possibilities, all factory wavetables from Microwave, Wave and Blofeld are of course included. Two more innovative features are the option to create wavetables, either by the internal speech synthesizer or from analyzing imported audio files. Furthermore, by stretching, rotating, and shifting in the spectral domain, Nave allows wavetables to be refined or distorted.
In addition to the wavetables and a filter featuring the familiar classic Waldorf sound, Nave offers the novel Überwave module that can fatten your sound by utilising up to eight extra virtual analog oscillators.
We are proud that we were able to inspire some highly acclaimed sound designers who, by supplying their personality, know-how and enthusiasm, contributed significantly to the new and exciting sound of Nave.
Nave for iPad is available for a 5-day introductory price of 10.99 EUR/$11.99 USD (regular 17.99 EUR/$19.99 USD).

Waldorf has released Alien Vanguard, a soundset for the Waldorf Blofeld by HG Fortune and Dimitri Schkoda.
The Waldorf Blofeld is versatile little monster and a highly suitable candidate to profit from some very special HGF waves in order to push it deeper into outer space with soundscapes and athmospheres. In some way you have a HGFortune hardware synth then, or, to put it precisely a hardware synth with the special HGFortune sound. Accordingly the soundset features mostly patches for ambient, soundscapes, textures and athmospherics, but also some other goodies like classic synthstuff e.g. for typical sequencer sounds. Thus the soundset makes it easy to do some e.g. classic TD style and related music.
Alien Vanguard features
2 patchbanks with 128 patches each:
AlienVanguard HGF-Bank-*.mid by HG Fortune.
AlienVanguard ID-Bank-*.mid by Dimitri Schkoda.
86 wave programs in 5 genres:
Cpl – complex i.e. mostly layered sounds.
Scp – soundscapes partly generated from images and as such showing some vivid sonic motion by itself.
Syn – synthesizer sounds.
Cho – synthetic choir sounds.
FX – effect sounds (spacey as well as natural like birds and water).
The soundset is available to purchase for the introductory price of 30 EUR for a limited time.
