TC Electronic Loudness

TC Electronic has announced the launch of a new website that aims to be a comprehensive resource for everything related to loudness.

There are many aspects to loudness, and keeping track of all of them can be a challenge even to those already familiar with the topic. Therefore, TC has launched a new loudness website, as an extension of the overall TC Electronic website, where all of these aspects are outlined, explained and discussed. The site is an answer to the highly relevant question: “What Is Loudness, and Why Is It Important?”

Loudness website highlights

  • Introduction to Loudness – 101 Loudness explaining the basics in an easy-to-read, easy-to-understand fashion.
  • Broadcast Standards –What are the differences between the current standards? What are the significant details that are important to be aware of as a broadcaster or a deliverer of broadcast content?
  • Applications –It is one thing to know the technology and the standards involved, it is another to know how, where and when to apply the technology in real-world situations.
  • Events – As a loudness pioneer, TC has hosted several loudness seminars and have been present at broadcast and pro audio shows all over the world. An ‘Events’ page sums up these activities and is also a valuable source for in-depth videos.
  • Literature and Glossary – For those who would like to go deeper into the technical details, TC provides a massive collection of white papers describing and discussing all kinds of aspects of loudness technology, and finally there is also an extensive glossary explaining terms related to loudness.

Ohm Studio

Ohm Force has announced that it has delayed the release of Ohm Studio, the collaborative music production platform.

Many good news here! Our real-time collaborative digital audio workstation Ohm Studio will finally remain in beta until January. It means that you have a bit more time to buy the lifetime offer before the next price ramp up (next Monday!) and ultimately the removal of this unique offer at release. Moreover, our Friday Collabs event (see video below) will now reward one participant each time with 6-month subscription applicable from end of beta. Download software here if you haven’t yet.

Additionally, the Ohm Team is currently busy redesigning the company website. You may expect something way more beautiful in weeks to come!

Ohm Force website
Ohm Force’s new website is coming soon.

To apologize for the delay, Ohm Force is extending the availability of the Lifetime Offer. Currently priced at 166 EUR excl. tax, it will ramp up at 187 EUR excl. tax from Monday October 29th until release (after which it will be removed). Also, Ohm Studio’s weekly Collab Fridays events will now see one of the participants per event rewarded with a 6-month subscription.

PreSonus improves navigation, product info and more with redesigned website

PreSonus website

PreSonus has announced a complete redesign of its web site, offering greatly improved navigation, deeper product information, and easy access to press releases, user stories, technical information, videos, tech support, user accounts, and much more.

Notes PreSonus Associate Creative Director Cave Daughdrill, “Truth is, a lot of us hated the old site. Working on it was worse than being stuck in traffic during the flaming-hot Louisiana summer. And it was starting to look old and dense-like the Gulf after BP got through with it. We’ve always made the kind of gear we want to use ourselves, so we decided it was time to do that with our site.

Now, it’s fast and easy to find things, and the site is much more visual. The video display is huge, and you can even search and filter for results while playing the video. And the site works great with mobile devices. We think people are really gonna dig it.”

“From a back-end standpoint, the old PreSonus site was the organizational equivalent of a dozen meth’ed-up gerbils playing soccer with a marble inside a grandfather clock,” says PreSonus Web Engineer Luciano Ziegler. “Our new site is so smooth that it may actually revolutionize String Theory.”
