Nintendo has announced Wii Music, allowing you and up to three of your friends to control an entire band or orchestra, featuring 40 instruments to choose from.

Players will use the Nunchucks and Wiimote to control the musicians with this possible Guitar Hero killer. This game is going to be hit or miss. It’ll either sell by the truck load or it won’t sell.
In single-player you can either control the whole band or have the CPU fill up the extra slots, and of course four-player multiplayer is the biggest touting point.
Wii Music is due in Japan next year.

Handheld Remakes brings back some fond memories. This place hosts a big searchable archive of handheld games, in SWF (Flash), Director and Java formats.
You can play a few games online.
One of my favorite handhelds: Donkey Kong jr.
Nowadays we have PS3′s and Wii’s, but few games can get me excited like the way these old handheld games did. When was the last time you spent days with no end trying to beat a highscore? (It’s actually cool that Nintendo was on top of the handheld market back in the day, and that they are right there now with the console market as well).
Anyway, I think I still have the Nintendo Donkey Kong handheld somewhere, gotta go find it!
If you have a Nintendo Wii you can now use a new Google Reader interface, specifically designed for the Wii.
Google Reader Wii interface
From the ZDNet blog:
Google quietly launched Google Reader specifically designed for the Wii last night — the new interface even makes use of the buttons found on your Wiimote. On my initial digging, I cannot find a similar interface designed specifically for the PS3 browser.
To try the new interface in your current browser if you don’t have the Wii, visit http://www.google.com/reader/wii.

Create Digital Music has an article about some interesting ways on how to use your Wii equipment, including the Wii Loop Machine by The Amazing Rolo, which looks like a blast to play with!
The Wii Loop Machine is a system for using the wireless Wii remote to sync, control, and manipulate loops in real time.
Check this video to see what that means.
Wii Loop Machine software
The software is created with Max/MSP and runs as stand-alone software on Mac OSX (10.4.8 or 10.4.9 recommended).
Check The Amazing Rolo for more information and a link to download the Wii Loop Machine for Mac OSX.
Flickr user Balakov has some pics of Nintendo’s Wiimote and nunchuck controllers in white chocolate.
Balakov’s Chocolate Wii Controllers
Wondering what to do with the packaging that your wiimote and nunchuck controller came in? Why not fill them with chocolate! We did.
They’re both stuffed with sponge fingers to fill them out a little, otherwise we’d have used a lot more chocolate. Not a bad thing in itself, but we didn’t have that much chocolate.
Balakov isn’t the first to “chocolatize” this type of stuff: Xbox 360, Xbox 360 controller and a PSP.
