Sunsine Audio has announced Explorer, a soundset featuring 64 new presets for Yonac’s Magellan synthesizer app for iOS.
Every preset has the mod wheel and X-Y Pad routed to useful destinations. In addition 21 presets have been “Coupled” and labeled accordingly to be used as dual layer presets utilizing both synth engines. These presets maintain their function and individuality when used un-”Coupled” as well.
“Anyone looking for a bit of insight and exploration into this semi-modular behemoth should be pleased. Following hot-on-the-heels of our factory presets, these presets are of equal quality, and will greatly expand your palette. We’re proud to add this set to our growing list of products.” says Fletcher Kaufman, owner of Sunsine Audio.

Yonac Software has announced the release of Shredder, the first professional iOS synthesizer designed for the guitar.
SHREDDER is a synthesizer/MIDI interface specially designed and developed for guitar players. It allows guitarists to play a true analogmodeling synth by simply plugging in – no special pickups needed! SHEDDER’s synth engine is a powerful, fully configurable FM/Subtractive design including:
Three custom-designed filters
Three dedicated envelopes
Many more sonic features to empower the musician!
In addition, SHREDDER can also be used as a MIDI Out interface to control other Virtual MIDI compatible iOS devices, or hardware synths through a physical connection.
“SHREDDER is an amazing breakthrough for guitarists and all musicians,” says SHREDDER engineer and guitar veteran, James Yonac. “Now guitarists can get amazing synth sounds from their guitars without a special synth pickup and for a small fraction of the price of a hardware guitar synth.” SHREDDER reads guitar input through popular iPad guitar jack interfaces or from the iPad’s built in microphone.
Shredder for iOS is available to purchase in the App Store for the introductory price of $5.99 USD until January 14, 2012 (regular $14.99 USD).
Yonac Software has announced the release of AirVox, a gesture controlled music app for iOS.
AirVox is the first touchless gesture controlled application to employ highly precise Computer Vision technology for mobile devices. Computer Vision is the emerging study of enabling machines to see.
“You don’t need a keyboard, fretboard, or touchscreen to make music,” says company founder Jim Yonac. “All you need is your own hands.”
These revolutionary control methods, combined with AirVoxʼs ease of use, allow anyone to start making music immediately. The right hand controls the pitch, while the left hand controls the selected sound parameter (such as volume or vibrato rate).
AirVox utilizes the front-facing camera and is only compatible with the iPhone 4, iPad 2, and iPod Touch 4th Gen.
AirVox is available to purchase in the iTunes store for $2.99 USD.
