ToneCarver Harmony Rotator

ToneCarver has released version 0.1 beta of Harmony Rotator, a MIDI note generator plug-in for Windows.

Harmony Rotator v0.1 generates up to 4 midi notes per midi note received.

Generated notes are offset from input note according to user defined intervals which, for the rotator voices, can vary for up to 4 different intervals.

Harmony Rotator for Windows (VST) is available to download at no cost.

Music production world needs more plugins like this, and less mixbus emulators, vintage compressors, etc.. The problem is there are a lot more geeks who like only to fiddle with knobs and have only a vague notion what is the difference between minor and major scale. Technology geeks with no interest in music as art.

ToneCarver, keep on the creative work!

I agree Chad. Have you had a chance to check Bill’s Nova 3 generative sequencer? Very nice!

Nova looks very interesting and powerful, but it has too many options for my taste. I will try it, but I favor to enter notes manually i.e. by MIDI keyboard. Generative composing is still in early stage of evolution and it is more suitable for explorers than for expressionists, and I’m trying to be latter.
