Venomode has released version 1.1.0 of Maximal, a maximising peak limiter effect plugin for Windows and Mac.

Version 1.1.0 brings user-selectable oversampling to the limiter. Oversampling is used to help stop aliasing and inter-sample peaks when the limiter is pushed hard.

Maximal can now run in 2x, 4x, and 8x oversampling mode, or no oversampling. An increase in the oversampling factor will also increase CPU usage.

Changes in Maximal v1.1.0

  • Added 2x, 4x, 8x oversampling options to limiter.
  • Fixed bug where the ‘liquid’ exciter mode would sometimes output silence.
  • Fixed bug where the peak level meters would stop working in some situations.

Maximal for Windows and Mac (VST/AU) costs £39 GBP. The plugin is currently available 50% off as part of Venomode’s January Sale.
