VirSyn VTAPE

VirSyn has released VTAPE, a set of two plugins based on a thorough simulation of the famous sound of analog tape machines.

VTAPE Saturator simulates the recording and playback on an analog tape mastering machine.

  • Realistic tape emulation
  • Tape saturation / compression
  • Tape hiss
  • Wow & Flutter
  • Equalizer
  • Aliasing free distortion

VTAPE Delay combines this sound with a modern, step sequencer-like tapped delay engine which leads the tradition of the tape echo machines into the 21st century.

  • Based on VTAPE Saturator
  • Unique step-sequencer style delay pattern input
  • Modern tempo-synced delay with up to 32 taps
  • Stereo rotation effect
  • Tap Pad for tempo tapping
  • Loop filter Lo/Mid/High
  • All parameters tweakable in realtime without clicks

Both plug-ins have a zero latency operation and a one page only user interface.

VTAPE is available for Mac and Windows (VST/AU/RTAS).

From now till November 30th, 2007 you can buy VTAPE for the introductory price of 99 EUR (normal price is 169 EUR). A new FX Collection containing VTAPE and the highly acclaimed reverb plugin REFLECT is available for 229 EUR.

    Dongle,based demos are retarded!!!
It’s not that serious…with all the products floating around
    that don’t require it!

Yeah that’s a bit restrictive. On the other hand a Syncrosoft dongle seems to be just 15 EUR so it’s not that bad…

It’s really ironic that the programs with the most DRM protection also suck total ass (waves & protools, eg).

Personally, there’s no way in hell I will ever run a dongle on my PC, and synchrosoft is so poorly programmed and implemented that it will bring even the most expertly setup PC to its knees. Software companies are morons for using their vile garbage, it just stinks of ineptitude.
