It can sync to session tempo for rhythmic swell effects or react to incoming transients to create automatic volume swells from live playing. This makes it useful for softening harsh pick attack, turning plucked instruments into ambient textures, and adding movement to pads, drones, and sustained sounds without drawing in automation by hand.
420 Limiter – Straightforward peak control with real-time visual feedback
420 Limiter is a brickwall limiter built for fast, reliable peak control. With a small set of simple controls, users can raise level, manage release, and set a safe output ceiling without slowing down their workflow. A built-in waveform display shows signal level and gain reduction in real time, making it easy to see how the limiter is responding as you work.
420 Spring Verb – Classic spring reverb character with simple controls
420 Spring Verb is designed to capture the lively character of classic spring reverb tanks, including the twang, drip, chirp, and reflections often heard in vintage guitar amps. The plugin includes controls for size, tone damping, pre-delay, mix, and two- or three-spring tank configurations. An “Adaptive Excitation System” helps bring out the frequencies that give spring reverb its signature character, helping it respond naturally across different instruments and sources. From subtle amp-style ambience to more obvious vintage spring textures, 420 Spring Verb is built to make this style of reverb fast and easy to use.
420 Swell Fella is available now as a free standalone plugin, while 420 Limiter and 420 Spring Verb are included in the 420 Plugins subscription suite.
