4drX has recently released a one-click stereo re-panner plugin with a touch friendly gain slider. The free StereoMixer can be used to quickly monitor the left and right channels of a track, flatten your stereo clips or subtract both channels to cancel components such as bass or drums.
StereoMixer features
- Solo the Left or Right channels of a stereo track with a single click on the Stereo(L) and Stereo(R) modes without changing your panning settings: use it to focus on instruments on either channel of a backing track.
- Monitor your Stereo signals in two Mono speakers with a one-click mix of both Left and Right channels (L+R mode): use it to monitor your live performances 🎶 in a single earphone without missing a beat.
- Monitor when your audio is clipping with big L and R colored peak meters.
- Use ±48dB separate L and R gain sliders if you need to crank your audio up to 11 (you should be using a pre-amp but oh well…).
- Flatten a Stereo track by choosing one of the channels or a mix of them to make it Mono.
- Use the “INV” buttons to substract both channels and cancel mono parts panned to the center (e.g. bass, drums).
- Tap on the ±1db buttons to adjust the gain with precision on a touch screen.
The plugin is free to download in VST/VST3, AU and AAX formats for Windows and Mac.
