4drX has announced the release of an update to its highly configurable virtual keyboard for use as a MIDI instrument or Logic MIDI effect plugin, or as a standalone program.
Version 1.9.1 of the VirtualKeyboard includes presets for the user interface and AAX support.
Display multi-channel MIDI notes in a resizable keyboard layout to visualize the harmony, learn new songs, show what you are playing in your video demos or send notes by clicking or tapping on its keys if you don’t have a MIDI controller.
VirtualKeyboard is also a live MIDI looper: record, play and loop MIDI play-alongs in any DAW and set the tempo live with a tap button. Set time and key signatures and transpose your MIDI recordings quickly without having to open a DAW.
Changes in VirtualKeyboard v1.9.1
- UI presets: Switch between different keyboard sizes, key widths and note colors with a single click.
- AAX support: Available as an AAX Instrument (VirtualKeyboard) or MIDI effect (VirtualKeyboardMidi) in ProTools.
- Compatibility with MIDI files with TicksPerQuarterNote other than 960.
- Synchronize recordings with the DAW transport when the play button link toggle is enabled.
- MIDI unsaved changes (indicated with “(*) ” at the end of a MIDI file name) are now saved in your DAW project.
- If the link toggle next to the key signature is disabled, the key signature of a song can be now changed without transposing its notes.
Available for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU and AAX), VirtualKeyboard is on sale for the intro price of 26 EUR / $29 USD at the 4drX store and from ADSR Sounds.
