Acon Digital has announced the release of a new version of its dialogue cleaning plugin for film, TV, streaming, and post production. Extract:Dialogue 2 introduces real time reverb reduction, EQ per audio stem, optional M/S processing, and a redesigned mixer style interface that gives users direct control over dialogue, noise, and ambience.
Development was guided by conversations with dialogue editors, re-recording mixers, and other audio professionals. They highlighted persistent challenges such as unwanted reverb, loss of natural tone, and the need to switch between multiple tools to get a clean result. Extract:Dialogue 2 tackles those problems head on, improving workflow speed and maintaining the natural character of the voice.
