Acustica Audio has announced an update to its hybrid mixing EQ designed to recreate the behavior of three iconic analog console equalizers within a single, unified tool.
Powered by Acustica Audio’s latest NOVA architecture, version 2 of Salt delivers a more dynamic, musical, and responsive mixing experience.
SALT 2 removes the limitations of analog EQ design, bringing three distinct models into a fully flexible, modern mixing environment. Unlike the original units, all EQ modes feature smoothly adjustable frequencies, with finely shaped curves that closely emulate the original hardware while preserving transient integrity. With continuously adjustable parameters and consistent control across all modes, you can compare, combine, and shape different EQ behaviors with total precision.
Derived from the Gold, Pink, and Sand concepts, each model retains its unique identity – now unified in a single workflow. If you’re looking for a dedicated approach, each of these processors is also available as a standalone plugin.
Salt 2 is available in VST3, AU and AAX formats for Windows and macOS. It is on sale for the intro price of €99 EUR until May 13th, 2026 (regular €199 EUR).
