WhiteFox has introduced a VST3 effect plugin for Windows that is designed to listens to a mix in real time and catch two specific causes of listener fatigue: a resonant frequency that’s held too long, and a transient that repeats identically several times.
The moment either happens, Ohrwurm applies an almost imperceptible correction (a gentle EQ notch, a tiny pitch drift, or a small phase shift) — just enough to give the ear something new to latch onto, without you having to notice or ride a knob yourself.
The plugin is available to purchase for $19 USD, and a free 3-day trial is available to try Ohrwurm.
