AlphaTheta has announced a new DJ multi player that’s suitable for a wide range of environments, from bars and small clubs to anywhere you need flexibility, professional features, and space-saving design.
The CDJ-1500X offers everything that makes DJ players popular with bars and other venues. It gives you the flexibility of using separate players, and you can combine it with different gear, including turntables and your favorite mixer, to create your perfect setup. It also packs in a host of pro-level features and inherits the high quality and usability of the flagship CDJ-3000X.
Short on room? Need to take your gear on the road? Thanks to its space-saving design, the CDJ-1500X fits into smaller DJ booths and a wide range of setups. It comes with all the practical benefits of using separate players too, such as easy maintenance and replacement. Built-in Wi-Fi opens the door for you to access your cloud-based music library via rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, so you can go beyond USB drives and always DJ with your latest collection. And this is the first player to be compatible with CoBeat, an exciting new service offering a fresh optional way to interact with the crowd and receive song requests directly on the screen of the CDJ.
CDJ-1500X features
- Compact design fits in smaller DJ booths: The CDJ-1500X is ideal for bars, small clubs, and home setups. While it includes many key features of the flagship CDJ-3000X, it has a significantly smaller footprint, making it easy to fit the unit into tighter spaces and combine it with turntables and other gear to create a custom setup.
- 10.1-inch touchscreen: The CDJ-1500X includes the 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen from the flagship CDJ-3000X. The browse screen displays up to 15 tracks at once, and waveform previews help you understand the music’s structure at a glance.
- Enhanced track visualisation: The main waveform display includes visual indicators for vocal positions, BPM change points, and phrase structures. Playlist Edit enables you to rearrange tracks within playlists directly on the CDJ and there’s a choice of dark and light display modes.
- Cloud connectivity: With built-in Wi-Fi, you can play your tracks with rekordbox CloudDirectPlay using a compatible rekordbox subscription plan, as well as songs from platforms such as Apple Music, Beatport Streaming, and Tidal using StreamingDirectPlay.
- CoBeat service: The CDJ-1500X is the first AlphaTheta multi player that’s compatible with the CoBeat service, which enables people on the dancefloor to use their phone to scan a QR code and request songs from a catalog you’ve prepared in advance. The requests are gathered on the screen of the multi player.
- Customizable look: In the front panel, an illuminated bay with 2 USB ports makes it easy to connect USB drives. You can choose from 12 colors for the LED lighting and, thanks to the screw holes on the sides of the multi player, you can add optional panels to customize the look of your CDJs.
