AP Mastering has introduced a major update of its advanced compressor effect plugin featuring unique compression curves unavailable in other plugins.
Version 2.0 of Curvature comes with a redesigned interface with 4 “remote control pages” and a new compression model which has never been done before.
are currently 10 completely different compression models and two of them have never been done before. The new “Quantum” mode in Curvature isn’t just a “quantum buzzword” gimmick, it is legitimately modeling electrons (in this case, audio samples) quantum tunneling, using academically correct mathematics. And the result is like nothing you’ve ever heard before. Because, AFAIK, nobody has ever done it before.
Curvature has too many new features and improvements to list here, and I will leave the explanation of what quantum tunneling compression actually is for my upcoming YouTube video.
Available in VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats for Windows, Mac and Linux, Curvature 2.0 is priced €49 EUR. Owners of the original version can get the update for free.
Additionally, the Saturation plugin was received an updated UI, considerably better mouse behavior, and mouse wheel support, and an issue in Versatile Compressor concerning the attack and release times when switching oversampling on and off has been fixed. Both plugins are now also available for Pro Tools (AAX) and continue to be 100% free and open source. Delta Expose has also seen some major updates, specifically for Pro Tools and Logic users.
