Apogee Electronics has announced a new desktop audio interface featuring 4 high-end analog microphone inputs, each with its own real-time DSP path, enabling latency-free processing during tracking.
In addition to input processing, Symphony Nova applies real-time DSP speaker correction on all analog outputs and supports importing SoundID files for headphone correction.
Symphony Nova features
- Real-Time ARM-powered DSP on every input: Unlike most compact interfaces, Symphony Nova provides simultaneous real-time DSP on all four microphone inputs. This allows multiple sources to be tracked with consistent processing—ideal for drums, small ensembles, multi-speaker podcasts, or live instrument recording.
- New 4-band ECS channel strip and onboard FX: Each input channel includes Apogee’s new and enhanced ECS Channel Strip, running directly on the onboard ARM processor. The channel strip features a new 4-band EQ, high-pass and low-pass filters, compressor, and saturation/drive. Symphony Nova also includes onboard real-time reverb and delay processors. All DSP processing is latency-free and handled entirely in hardware, enabling confident, zero-latency monitoring.
- Speaker & headphone monitoring correction: Symphony Nova includes real-time speaker correction on every analog output, allowing users to compensate for room and speaker response directly in the interface rather than in the DAW.
- Conversion & preamps: Symphony Nova uses Apogee’s renowned AD/DA conversion and microphone preamp design, delivering clean gain, low noise, and consistent performance across all inputs.
- Guitar, instrument & voice workflows: The interface supports modern guitar workflows, including clean DI capture and a new re-amping section derived from previous Ensemble generations. For voice and podcasting, high-gain preamps combined with onboard processing enable controlled, broadcast-ready tracking without external processors.
- Expandability via ADAT: An onboard ADAT expansion allows connection of additional mic preamps and converters for larger recording sessions.
- MIDI In/Out: Dedicated MIDI input and output allow direct connection to keyboards, synthesizers, and other MIDI devices.
Priced $1,499 USD (MSRP), Symphony Nova is expected to ship in early Q2 2026. It will be available through all authorized Apogee dealers worldwide. The interface will be shown at the mutual Apogee / Manley booth #14508 at NAMM 2026.
