Aqeel Aadam Sound has introduced a playable harmonic filter for Windows, macOS and iOS.
Designed for adding tonality, motion, and interest to sound, Sightlines is built around an idea from Outgrowth‘s harmonic filter, but turned into a smaller, more focused instrument.
The plugin can be loaded as either an instrument or an audio effect, tuned to a fixed frequency like a resonator or played over MIDI to bring it alive as a pitched voice. As an instrument it filters noise, samples, or oscillators into new sounds; as an effect it adds movement and tonality to any incoming audio, even unpitched material. The filter bank concept first appeared in the developer’s sampler Outgrowth and has now been expanded into a dedicated, more affordable standalone tool.

Available in VST3 and AU plugin formats for Windows and macOS, Sightlines is on sale at an introductory price of $20 USD for a limited time (regular $30 USD). The iOS/AUv3 version is $7.99 USD on the App Store.
