Audible Genius has announced an update to its fully interactive online music studio where you compose original beats as you go.
Full mobile support has been added to Building Blocks, making the complete course experience available on both iPhone and Android devices. New features designed specifically for touch screens have been implemented as well.
The update introduces several interface features designed specifically for touchscreens. A new Beat Zoom function allows users to quickly zoom into specific measures or beats with a simple tap-and-drag gesture, making it easier to edit MIDI in a piano roll on smaller screens. Standard pinch zoom and panning are also supported for more precise navigation.
A new Loop Visible Area option automatically loops whatever section of the timeline is currently in view during playback. This reduces the need for manual loop adjustments when working in zoomed-in areas, which can be cumbersome on mobile devices.
The update also comes with performance optimizations to improve playback smoothness and reduce CPU usage on mobile devices. Building Blocks remains available as a browser-based course within the Audible Genius Studio, with no separate app required.
