Audio-Assault has announced the release of the new RM-2 Analog Channel effect plugin for Windows and Mac.
RM-2 aims to capture the warmth of the Panasonic Ramsa WR-S4424, a Japanese console that is praised for its tape-like character inherent in its preamps.
The RM-2 captures the character of the preamp section, while bringing a modern perspective to the user experience.
With its included 3 band eq, which is very gentle and difficult to push too far, the RM-2 is perfect for broad tone shaping while warming up sterile digital tracks.
The RM-2 does harness the warmth of the Ramsa WR-S4424, but is not intended to be a 1:1 recreation of the original console. The EQ section takes a different approach, as explained below. And unlike many plugins modeled from analog hardware, the RM-2 has no noise floor. This allows you to focus on tone without worrying about your signal-to-noise ratio.
The plugin is available in VST/VST3, AU and AAX plugin formats. It is on sale for the intro price of $10 USD for a limited time. The regular price is $34.99 USD.

I have almost all of their plugins, completely underrated, and for so much more than metal!
Headcrusher = budget Decapitator
XCTR = Multiband saturation beast
Multi Transient = is there anything out there that does this?
Freakq305 = excellent colour options
Dirt Machine = Multiple OD and distortion modelling, includes acoustic sim and OCD among other gems
Grind Machine II = Heavy-handed high gain multi-amp sim, and also low gain multi-amp sim if you add Hidden Gems expansion
Dominator, Bulldozer and Emperor = Each is a complete rig with fx and mic positioning, my favorite is Bulldozer for the rich low-mids
Westwood and Druminator = complete drum kits with recording signal path (saturation, transients, clipping, fx)
And this is sounding very very nice.
Excellent prices too.
I’m a fan of their work, you can tell.
