New York City-based Authentic Soundware has introduced a new sample library for the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt. Featuring a small violin section performing stylistically-specific articulations recorded with period recording techniques, Space Age Strings authentically captures the sound of the classic studio string sections of the 1950s and ’60s.
Key features include performance-based legato samples, five vintage microphone positions and unique arranger tools for creating realistic runs and polyphonic trills.
“Space Age Strings delivers the vintage personality and charm of your favorite recordings from yesteryear.” – Jared Hunter, Authentic Soundware
Continuing the developer’s Space Age Orchestra collection, Space Age Strings gives composers and producers a tool for creating vintage orchestrations in jazz, big band, bossa nova, and film score genres.
Space Age Strings contains approximately 13GB of sample content (6.5GB compressed), with 12 articulations, 5 legato transition types, and 5 microphone positions.
The library is available to purchase for the introductory price of $79 USD until October 13th, 2026 (regular $119 USD).
