Baby Audio is now offering the Baby Comeback delay effect plugin is a free download to anyone.
A collaboration between Baby Audio and Computer Music Magazine, and previously only available to subscribers of the magazine, Baby Comeback is a stripped-down version of the Comeback Kid delay/echo plugin.
Baby Comeback features the same flexible delay engine as Comeback Kid, including the onboard ducker. Four style programs can be selected to shape the sound of the wet signal.
The four flavors are:
- Wide: A modern, clean and extra wide sounding delay.
- Analog: A darker delay, reminiscent of vintage tape and bucket brigade echo units.
- Saucey: Utilizes Comeback Kid’s stereo and flavoring tools for a wet and lush delay sound.
- Cheap: A lofi delay sound inspired by 1980s rack units.
The delay can be set to straight, dotted, triplets, and free, and it has time and feedback controls alongside a ping-pong switch. It also features a built-in ducker, and individual dry and wet knobs to mix the signal.
Baby Comeback is available as a free download in VST/VST3, AU, and AAX plugin formats for Windows and Mac. You’ll need to sign up to the Baby Audio mailing list to get the plugin.
