BaconPaul has announced an update to the Six Sines software synthesizer for Windows, macOS, and Linux (VST3, AU and CLAP).
Version 1.2 comes with many new features including Phase Distortion (CZ-like) and Noise sources, an improved UI, additional modulation, and more.
Six Sines is a small synth based on audio rate modulation (techniques often called “Phase Modulation” and “Digital Ring Modulation”). It has an architecture which allows lots of modulation and a synth engine with a couple of tricks which make it sound pretty good.
More details on what’s new can be found in the changelog. Six Sines is free and open source, available to download from BaconPaul’s GitHub page.
