Beat has announced a new remix contest with 21 prizes with a total value of 3,900 euros, including software such as Tone2 Icarus, Baby Audio Transit or Noiseworks DynAssist, and hardware such as ADAM Audio D3V monitor boxes, ESI Xjam and Xkey controllers, Korg Keystage 49, and more.
You’ve probably seen the Woody’s before, because their “Fichtl’s Lied” is a viral hit, not necessarily due to its compositional greatness, though. Behind the duo are Pascal Marshall, a son of Tony Marshall, and his friend Thomas Maier. An album produced by Tony Marshall called “Die Welt der Woody’s” was released on Teldec in 1984.
A recording of Fichtl’s song from the program „Die Superhitparade der Volksmusik“ became widely known in the 2010s when it was uploaded to YouTube. The video received tens of millions of views and became the subject of many memes.
Enough details, let’s get to the point: Beat is turning this fun campaign into a remix contest and the rules are very simple: Download the Stem package for the contest and use it to create a wicked remix with your signature sound.
To take part, download the stems and submit your remix by March 20th, 2025. Beat will draw the winners and let them know via mail. Furthermore, winners are published via Social Media.
