Best Service has announced the release of a new Engine Player-powered instrument library which brings the expressive sound of 12 Native American flutes, each with its own distinct character.
From warm cedar and rich walnut to bright maple and resonant bamboo, every flute in Totem by Eduardo Tarilonte offers a different combination of tone, response, and character.
The recordings preserve the natural breath, subtle playing nuances, and expressive dynamics of real performances. Detailed control is provided by features including Natural and Editable Legato, Blow Intensity, Vibrato, Finger Hole Sounds, and Release Sounds. A second flute can be added as a drone, while the speed of the ornaments can be adjusted to match the performance.
Each flute comes with its own Phrases instrument, featuring Keyswitch variations and phrases at 75, 85, 110, and 155 BPM. Totem also includes 20 atmospheric Soundscapes featuring flutes, textures, and drones for cinematic backgrounds and atmospheric sound design. 11 of the 12 flutes are from Forest Kingdom 3, while the F# Spanish Cedar and the Soundscapes were newly recorded specifically for Totem.
