Bjango has released a resynthesis plugin that analyzes the frequency response of incoming audio and rebuilds it using up to 64 oscillators.
Reality Distortion can be mixed in lightly under the original source for thickness and shimmer, or pushed further to leave the original signal behind entirely. A feedback control sends the oscillators back into the analyzer so it starts resynthesizing its own output, letting tones sustain and wander on long after the source audio has stopped.
Reality Distortion features
- Up to 64 tracking oscillators, each pitchable up, down, or altered in other ways.
- Feedback, routing the resynthesized output back into the analyzer for self-sustaining, drifting tones.
- Slice, setting analysis speed from a near-continuous 10ms to a sluggish one second.
- Blur, controlling whether oscillators snap to new pitches or glide between them.
- Morph pad for blending between sawtooth, square, and sine oscillator waveforms.
Reality Distortion is available for the intro price of $39 USD + tax for a limited time (regular $49 USD + tax). It comes in VST3 and AUv3 plugin formats for Windows and macOS. A 30-day free trial is available to try the plugin.
