BOOM Library has announced Update 26-05 for its general sound fx library BOOM ONE, pairing the mechanical precision of sci-fi door systems with the musicality of UI sound design.
With over 550 new sound files, 3,000+ individual sounds, and 13GB+ of professional-grade content, this release adds texture, depth, and character to any sound designer’s toolkit. The update includes over 200 files dedicated entirely to futuristic doors and access systems.
Spaceship airlocks, vault entrances, elevators with genuine weight. The collection goes well beyond basic servo recordings: droning power loops for constant mechanical hum, charge-up sequences for doors that require a moment before opening, lock mechanisms with proper mass and security, and air pressure releases for that classic sci-fi hiss. Two complete elevator systems are included, along with a hydraulic car lift and additional source recordings for designers who want to build their own.
Also new are over 100 UI sounds built from actual instruments: piano, marimba, hand drums, chimes, and synths.
The results are smartphone notifications, pop-ups, clicks, and menu interactions that are tonal and musical by design. They layer well for sweetening and work across apps, game menus, and interface contexts where a generic beep would break the experience.
Additionally, bonus content includes military NPC vocals, electromagnetic pass-bys, ambiences, a remote-controlled ride-on car, and a complete car wash interior sequence.
The update is free for BOOM ONE subscribers.
