Bedroom Producers Blog has announced the release of a free bass drum sound library in Wav and Kontakt format.
BPB Analog Kicks features 200 kick drums sampled from six different analog instruments: Moog Minitaur, Vermona Kick Lancet, Arturia DrumBrute and DrumBrute Impact, Drumcomputer MFB-522, and Korg Volca Kick.
The sounds were sampled through the Soundcraft Signature 12MT mixer. In addition to the kick drum samples, the library also includes a set of sounds with extra-long decay that can be used as bass sounds or 808-like kicks.
I tried to cover the entire sonic range of each sampled instrument. You’ll find some classic analog-style kicks, as well as some totally quirky sounds that can also work as percussion or sound effects.
The “pay what you want” download (including free) comprises 200 drum samples in 24-bit WAV format and a single NKI patch for NI Kontakt 5 (full version).
