Buchert Audio has announced the release of a perceptual depth and space processor for macOS (VST3/AU).
Depth Engine is a perceptual depth and space tool. It places sources at a believable distance – from close and intimate to far and roomy – using natural distance cues, with an optional impulse-response mode.
Depth Engine features
- Depth, Reflections, Size and Dampen controls: Core controls for placing a source in space and shaping how the surrounding room responds.
- Early / Late / Absorp space shaping: Shape the early reflections, the late field, and absorption to dial in the character of the space.
- Air, Tone and Glue character: Character controls for the overall feel of the processed signal.
- Indoor / Outdoor modes: Switch the spatial behaviour between indoor and outdoor settings.
- Load your own impulse responses: Optional impulse-response mode — load your own IR files.
- Input / Output / Dry-Wet with gain match: Input, Output and Dry-Wet controls, with gain matching to keep levels consistent.
Depth Engine is priced €39 EUR and a free demo version is available to try it. The plugin is also included in the Complete Bundle for €99 EUR (including Tonality EQ, Warmth Engine, Mass Engine and Depth Engine). All prices excl. VAT.
