Okay Synthesizer has introduced a modular FX plugin that lets producers generate complex effect racks in a single click. Built around the idea of Eurorack, a node equals one effect or one modulator, NODES assembles interconnected audio patches that move, react, and evolve on their own.
With 29 audio effects, 24 modulators, and support for VST3 and AU on macOS and Windows, NODES gives sound designers two ways to create: Generate, for building a patch automatically, Remix, for selecting effects while NODES handles the routing and modulation. The result is a fast, exploratory workflow for creating filters that breathe, reverbs that swell, and distortion that refuses to sit still.
“A good patch takes an hour. NODES takes about 0.4 seconds,” the company says. “Most of them slap.”
NODES is designed for musicians, producers, and sound designers who want their effects to misbehave — and to discover sounds they wouldn’t have built by hand.
Currently available for Windows and macOS in VST3 and AU plugin formats (Linux coming), NODES is on sale at an early access price of $50 USD until version 1.0 releases (regular $100 USD). A 14-day free trial is available to try the plugin.
