CARP Audio has announced the release of an update to its real-time automatic pitch modwheel plugin for Windows and Mac.
Version 1.5.0 of APM Live comes with some crucial algorithm improvements that sharpen the precision and sound quality of the plugin, especially under heavy modulation.
At its core, ‘APM Live’ is a Universal Mod Wheel using a Special realtime pitch shifting algorithm for modulating pitch in Realtime. Which is useful all in itself and would be a Powerful and Unique plugin even without it’s magic Autopilot feature. Sit back and watch as APM Live analyzes your sound, automatically moving the Mod Wheel for you.
Changes in APM Live v1.5.0
- Fixed pitch modulation artifacts: AM (Amplitude Modulation) artifacts that were previously revealed when modulating pitch have been eliminated. This fix ensures a cleaner, more stable sound, especially in moments of aggressive pitch movement or automation.
- Improved phase accuracy for complex audio: Phasing issues caused by overlapping time blocks have been resolved. This leads to more accurate handling of inharmonic content, making APM Live more transparent and musical when processing unpredictable or noise-rich sounds.
- Stereo field stability: Fixed a bug that affected the stereo image when pitch was modulated in real time. Your stereo field now remains intact and balanced, even during wild, expressive modulations.
A free update for existing users, APM Live (VST3/AU) is available to new customers at a reduced price of $49.95 USD until June 1st, 2025 (regular $59.95 USD).
The offer is available at ADSR Sounds and from CARP Audio.
