Carve Audio has announced the release of slap-style delay that is designed to add size and dimension while keeping sounds upfront.
Instead of building long signal chains to clean up space effects, Slapshot gives you a single plugin that adds width and depth without cluttering the mix.
Reverbs and delays are great at creating space, but they often introduce muddiness unless you follow them with additional tools like EQ, de-essing, compression, or modulation. Slapshot takes care of that work for you. It’s built around slap delay to create the perception of space, while additional processing under the hood keeps the effect smooth, focused, and easy to blend with the dry signal. The result is a bigger, more dimensional sound that still feels tight, clear, and polished, without long effect chains or endless tweaking.
Also available is Busboy, a mix bus and subgroup plugin designed to add polish, cohesion, and control with minimal effort.
It pairs rich, musical high and low shelves with precise high- and low-pass filters, then brings everything together with a compressor that delivers the warmth and cohesion of a classic bus chain. A final limiter adds clean peak control, helping your mixes feel finished, balanced, and under control.
Regularly priced $39 USD, Slapshot is on sale for the intro price of $9 USD, and BusPrice is free to download until March 2, 2026 (regular $49 USD). Both plugins come in VST3, AU and AAX formats for Windows and macOS.
