CB Sounddesign has announced the release of a new sample pack designed for cinematic trailers, game audio, and dystopian scoring. Moving away from clean, high-tech digital sounds, Derelict Sky focuses on “Kinetic” audio—sounds that convey mass, velocity, and the physical weight of deep-space wreckage and heavy machinery.
Whether you are scoring a trailer for an indie space-shooter, building tension for a dystopian scene, or creating the ambience of a dead planet, Derelict Sky delivers the sonic palette you need. The library focuses on “Kinetic” sound—audio that feels like it has mass, velocity, and physical momentum.
The collection is built to provide the grit and texture necessary for hostile environments and high-tension sequences. It features 414 WAV files organized into six specific categories to streamline the production workflow:
- Kinetic Whoosh-Hits: Heavy transitions with substantial impact tails.
- Monolit Impacts: Metal crushes, debris, and deep friction events.
- Orbital Whooshes: Atmospheric shears and gravity shifts for large-scale movement.
- Neural Synths & Reactor Pings: Glitching telemetry and alarm risers.
- Signal Glitches: Fractured data textures and digital noise.
- Seamless Void Drones: Evolving atmospheres for space and isolation.
Derelict Sky is available for purchase for the intro price of $17.50 USD through January 31st, 2026 (regular $35 USD), at distributors Loot Audio and A Sound Effect.
